There more than a few people on here who don't understand nuance and context - NewYorkNuck
I think it runs deeper. The sense of entitlement that you pay for the ticket, and have seen others do it in the past, makes it OK. It's never been OK to throw things at benches. For good reason.
Its ok to throw hats, hamburgers, dead octopus, and dead rats, but a hotdog requires a written apology and public service?
And people think I'm crazy
Complaining that some of our best player suck and wanting them traded is like trying something gross and asking a friend "try this".
Most of the time you hype something up if you are trying to sell it.
I'm with the nip and tuck crowd...move a couple ugly contracts. Even some poop can get shined up for a trade if they play ok.

Most on this board are on the breast implant crowd. They don’t care if the changes are real just as long as they are nice to look at.
lol yep been there. If folks think tossing a hot dog is offensive we are in big fucking trouble. We had a police escort out of Hobbema (now Maskwascis) at a Senior Mens game. One of our dmen blew out a native players nose as he was running around like an idiot on the ice trying to hurt guys. Folks were actually climbing the glass to get on the ice after him. Cops came and locked both gates at both ends of the rink shut the game down and sent us all home. Fans there used to toss coins on the ice too (very dangerous) in the oppositions end. Crazy times man but fun.
My Dad played in Quesnel in the 60's when they were winning those Coy Cup championships. They had full-on brawls in the stands then too...mostly the wives of opposing clubs lol - LordHumungous
Wild times, I went to those games, I was a Mohawk briefly, started out as a stick boy at 10 years old lol
Agree need something to get folks jumping up out of their seats and engaged. Van Halen is a great track but doesn't really have that blood boiling energy. Really like the Dallas Stars one but some other good ones in there...
Look what you started. 3 pages of Lordy flashbacks. 😁 - Load Management
So If Canucks win the next two games and Vegas loses against Devils. Canucks are 2 points behind LA and 1 point behind Vegas.
Canucks are the kings last game. The Canucks hopefully win that game to at least tie or be ahead of LA to not depend on a point in the last game against Edmonton in the second game of a back to back.
Hoping Vegas goes 3-3 or worse on the last 6 games they have to end at 93 and Van to win 5 out of 7 games to be ahead by 1 point.
La has to go 2-3 in the last 5 to reach 94 points. Canucks would squeak in by winning 1 more game in regulation and overtime.

I just said people at the games don't hate the song. You guys started it weeks ago by saying it is terrible .
I think anthems should be abolished.
I did like the Streets have no name entry , and goal songs I don't care what they are. - VANTEL
Goal songs can be cool for crowd energy. The right tunes at the events is key even in NHL games.
Agree Anthems should be gone. All politically charged now and since no one will ever agree on politics just leave it out altogether. Plus the CDN anthem is an absolute embarrassment at present.

Yeah all I was saying is the crowd at RA got into the Simple Minds song and sang along with it every time . Management will leave things as they are if everyone is happy and throwing good money at it despite Hockey Buzz opinion of 25 people.
Aquilini should have a HB dedication song You Can't Always Get What You Want
Throwing a hot dog AT a player on the ice/bench because he’s fat is a little different than throwing a hat because some scored 3, or an octopus etc. one is juvenile and mean spirited, the others are celebratory.
Personally I think throwing anything on the ice should be a no no, but clearly this wasn’t an amusing gag. - 1970vintage
Throwing hot dogs at Kessel is terrible. A low level hate crime. Fat shaming. Why would people do such things?
Kessel called out a number of times in his career by coaches for not taking better care of his conditioning. Let's be honest here... he isn't helpless to it like many obese people out there. Let's not get all PC about this.

I think you're completely missing the point. Throwing anything at any players bench is over the line. Period. That's the way it's always been and always should be.
