on this very page I am looking at a post of yours that says Lafreniere only having 27 points is disappointing
assists, as you know are points
I am making the case that its not Lafreniere's fault that he only has 10 assists

anybody who watches every single Ranger game and blames it on Lafreniere that he only has 10 assists this season is out of their minds - jimbro83
I blame Chytil, although he is playing much better as of late. |

I like him with Goodrow, whether it's Chytil with Kakko or Chytil with Lafreniere, Goodrow should be with them

Completely agree, Goodrow has brought life to that line.
I guess my main issue is faceoffs. I want my 3rd line center to be the shutdown guy like Hayes was. |

Chytil will never be that guy, although he has been hustling his ass off away from the puck since he has been back |

What is it that you are saying, exactly? And what is it that you are expecting? Please don't take this as mocking or angry. I legitimately want to know.
You called him disappointing. He is the 3LW (majority of the time) on a top 5 team in the league. Maybe, just maybe, being a dependable player on a winning team is more important to him than personal success. Is he a disappointment because he hasn't pushed his way into the 1LW position? How would that even happen? |

I think he'd prefer Lucas Raymond's 55 points while being a minus 9 thousand

I'm not asking for speculation! I'm trying to understand the root of this never ending, merry-go-round of a debate in hopes of seeing it go away. And you aren't helping! |

He's been much better since playing with Goodrow. Playing a simpler game I think. |

what's the best is that he'll never read anybody's posts, no matter what anyone says he just sees as "making excuses for Lafreniere" no matter how reasonable anybody is...
so that's why I resort to sarcasm and mockery |

Simple,
Laf isn't going to get that 1st or 2nd line chance unless Bread or Kreids are injured. We all hope that doesn't happen!
He's been better with Chytil since Goodrow landed on that line. Goodrow makes that line better. I'll be pretty happy rolling with that in the playoffs. |

There are some people in this world who are just negative so they can say "I told you so" and feel good about being right...when they end up being wrong, these same people say "I'm happy to be wrong about this." or some bullsh!t of the sort.
These people have very thick skulls.

Not angry about a single thing. Excited as hell we’re back in the playoffs. I’m just not going to sit here and make excuses for guys not playing up to where we expected them to be. You can say Laf having 27 pts in his 2nd year is disappointing and still be excited about the team. - nyrangers9479
Man you are like talking to a wall
Maybe this will help….
Zib…arguably the best forward on the team…averages 19:38 toi per game..,
Laf…13:54 toi…
He hasn’t even had the opportunity to disappoint yet
4/5 of those minutes per game… ARE SPENT ON THE POWER PLAY.
Why do you keep dismissing this as nothing to see here as far as your disappointment? |

how many times do we have to say that Lafreniere is the 3rd best left winger on the team, is it 10,000 times? - jimbro83
If we trade Panarin, Laf will be the second best LW on the team. |

Guess the question then becomes, where does Kakko go when he returns?
I think when this team is back to fully healthy it’s more likely we see:
Laf-Chytil-Kakko
Motte-Rooney-Goodrow
Would love that 4th line too. Basically, just a huge fan of Goodrow wherever he’s playing at this point.

Trading Panarin means Laffy will be able to play with Strome and get more PP time, we will then be able to access if he is a true bust or not.
Very Simple.
Otherwise how else will we know??
Problem then is how will we know if KK is a bust or not??? |
