“ As for the goaltending matchup, Jaroslav Halak vs. Filip Gustavsson is confirmed. Halak is coming off a 27=save performance in Vancouver's 5-1 road win over Arizona back on April 7. Gustavsson is making his first start since March 19; since early February, he has spent most of his time in the AHL.
It has been a tough season for Gustavsson at the NHL level. He's 3-11-1 this year, with an .886 save percentage. He took the loss when Vancouver beat Ottawa 6-2 at the Canadian Tire Centre back on December 1.”

You said a goalie who "hasn't played in ages". He played 4 days ago in the AHL. He has played 8 times in April in the AHL.
So I was asking what you were meaning by "hasn't played in ages" since he has been playing just not against NHL competition.
Should be an easy win tonight. Shaky goalie who hasn’t played in ages against a team that has been pumping in the goals lately.

Brock does that I’ll back off on trading him lol
FYI it’s never a dislike of him just what the new contract might look like & I do expect him to improve on his skating. Needs an extra 1/2 to full step in his speed.
Pettersson AND Miller with their 30th each tonight - LeftCoaster
3 C’s with 30 would be something no other team has. Down the middle is how to build a team & always has been. Set in goal just need to find a way to get the D better so 3rd pairing can be less relied on & allowed to grow into good roles.

Oh crap. You know what that means… Gustavsson first star.
AHL? That's like the 95th best development league in the world. He might as well have been playing floor hockey in my Daughter's middle school. 😂 - Load Management

Do you think Canucks fans would be as pumped up about the Spencer Martin extension if he had never played an NHL game this season?

With our Goaltending depth...yes. Me personally, I'll be pumped when we don't have cap tied up in a Goalie that isn't playing for the Canucks. It's been a while.

Luongo’s $3m recapture penalty comes off the books at the end of this season and Holtby’s $2m buyout comes off the books at the end of next season.
