For sure. The identity of the team is the defense core. For this reason, I would not be surprised at all to see Dahlin with C next year. He's going to have 70 points next season.

Next season I think they give the C to Okposo...he's earned it...got to make sure he understands its for 1 year though...they aren't bringing him back.

I'd like to see the Sabres consolidate their picks and move-in to 3rd to draft 1 of Wright, Slavkovski, Cooley.

A definite possibility for sure.
I wouldn't do it myself...I love his play and he is generating production with leadership...all valuable.
This year and next year is fine.
He'll be 35-1/2 to start the '23-24 season...time to then turn the page IMO.

There was smoke around Boeser at the deadline so I don’t think that can be disregarded completely.
