It's the cost to get him that's scary. - Buff36
Him and Tage would be the ideal 1/2 centers with Cozens being the 3rd line center
But he would be pretty pricey to get.
He is the right age, has the right skill set, he is a pass first guy, imagine him feeding Quinn...

Scheifele might be on the block
what's the price you guys would pay for 2 years of his service
IMO he would be the perfect top 6 guy to add to this roster

Unless they are seriously trying to build a cup contender next year, which they absolutely have the resources to do, I don't see the point of trading any asset for a forward when there are so many available in free agency. |

we have to move 1 or 2 guys up front to get 1 or 2 guys
we need to move 1 or 2 prospects/bryson type to get 1 or 2 guys on the D
they all can't sit in the press box

Gonna be interesting in 2 to 3yrs when the core of this team is 26 and younger and Rochester has 15 prospects playing. |

There are a few ways to look at it:
Will a player sign in Buffalo and at what cost?
Are they still on the right side of 30?
Or is it worth giving up assets (when you have a TON of young talent and more on the way) for someone with term who fills a void?
What is the cost of the trade?
For Scheifele you're looking at something like the middle first this year, a young roster player and a prospect. Does Vegas's first, Mitts, and a guy like Johnson get it done? Probably not

This little porker has me intrigued for next season. If we trade Mitts now, it's at a low value point. I was really, really impressed by the 74, 37, 71 line for a few weeks. Maybe he was a passenger to the other two, but I worry that he catches on over a healthy season and really starts to look the part. |

Scheifele is another case of is the offensive production worth the fact he is a black hole defensively.
I think we already have our Scheifele in Tage.
We need a 2C that doesn’t get caved in on a nightly basis

I think Mitts has had a string of bad luck and is starting to look the part, however if you're going into a season with Thompson and Scheifele as your top 2 centers you're in a much better position that Thompson and one of Mitts/Cozens as your top 2
Skinner Thompson Tuch
Quinn Scheifele Olofsson
Krebs Cozens JJ
Vinnie Girgensons Okposo
That could be an interesting lineup especially with Scheifele feeding two guys that can shoot the puck. |

I think everyone knows that a big deal is going to cost something that's not considered disposable. Unless they're willing to include their 1st, Peterka, or even something more painful, this isn't serious.

Anderson has a minor injury. He was going to back up Tokarski anyway, but they decided to give him the day off entirely.
UPL is playing tonight for Roch so Dell was the emergency call up to backup Tokarski |

He's had the contract for weeks at this point I have zero clue what games he's playing
Portillo is staying unless Michigan gets the book thrown at them For the investigation. |

Colorado might bite if they want to clear salary - Anderdog
They don't need to clear salary, they have like 11 players hitting FA. |
