He's only being brought in for a cup team. We'd have to trade an asset and then sign him to something like 9 mil x 5 years or 8 x 6.

Goalie this year, bring the two kids up, make the playoffs and learn more. 2023 offseason bring in one or two big fish forwards.

3. TOR: 26gp 16-7-3 35pts
4. WAS: 24gp 16-5-2 34pts
5. BOS: 25gp 16-8-1 33pts
6. BUF: 26gp 15-8-3 33pts

That's almost one third of a season, against a tough schedule, and with some god awful goaltending.

Consistently kicking the can, I liked the hiring especially when he brought in the people he did. But decisions need to be made this offseason. They need to prove they can get ahead of things.

Harrington is feeding into the lazy approach, which is to continue to let the good times and good vibes roll, like has been happening the past 2 months.

That approach, however, can be like balancing on a knife's edge.

Simply adding a goaltender will not be enough.

I doubt adding another defenseman will be enough either.

There doesn't seem to be any desire to be aggressive.

I sure hope that changes.

The Sabres have been reactive for more than a decade.

Hoping that changes starting this offseason, but not counting on it.
