April 30th or may 2nd seems like stranger days to start counting?
May 3rd and 4th too đ¤
Start of the month, 12 per year... - Boss34
A+ on the snark meter, Boss, well done.
Sabres werenât playing last May, were they? Initially I forgot the schedule was whacked due to Covid, and donât remember when season actually ended.
Why wouldnât they just say October, when this season started? |

May 1st = golf season for the Sabres.
Next year though...

His being a center still carries more weight than undersized wingers, no matter how slightly better they are on the scoresheet |

Buf19 is having a problem with goaloffson in the top 9 forwards for next season?
Now donnie the center whisperer has him back on line 1.
Good coaching, bad posting - Boss34
I think Olof should slot on 3rd line with 1st pp time.
Skin Tage Tuch
Quinn Mitts JJ (Sheltered O-zone starts)
Krebs Cozens Olof
Asplund Girgs Okposo

If he were Patrice Bergeron or Kopitar I would agree with you. Jack is not an especially gifted defensive player that Ive seen. He's not terrible or anything, but I doubt any team says we need to make sure player X avoids Jack all night. |

Maybe?
Also, goaloffson has had an excellent year and could play on any of the top 3 lines.
He's proven it.

Makes sense, it does seem like Jack made the best choice for himself medically. I just flashed on what Beady said as I thought it was relatively untested in contact sports. Weidman is a big enough name I thought I'd have remembered him, but you're right I'm not finding anyone else on my searches. - RhinoFan
Medically, I'm 100% on Jack's side of this.

That just seems like it would be since Mar 1st, would correlate with their recent run.

tuch has 14 points in his last 18 games
3 of those on pp
how is that tailing off, still exceeding any realistic expectation for him as a player |

I'd just like to spread the wealth... there's enough talent to do so. Each line has a playmaker(Line 1 by committee) and a scorer(Okposo) and a hound(Tuch, JJ, Cozens, all of line 4) |

He's missed some wide open chances as well. Slot him back up on line 1 he might very well be a ppg player through a full season. Those guys move the puck well together.

is this now or moving forward next year?
If its next year, that lineup, with 26,23,10, and 25 playing big minutes, I don't think gets us to the cap floor and since we have picks up the wazoo I don't know if LTIR to get cap like Boychuk is a plan either.
My guess??? Casey gets traded, they sign a pricey forward in FA and ...go ahead and let me have it. I can see them trading Casey for Carey Price. |

I think that is coming from his inability to finish at the level Skinner and Thompson and Vic do. Chicks dig the long ball and goals. |

Nah Casey stays. They'll find enough boychiks or sign a goalie for 10 per.
If anyone is worried about the cap then your worrying about the wrong things. Its the easiest thing to fix.

his shooting percentage for career is 10 percent, this year 9 percent
I think with better d play, power and a mature dahlin, his numbers could even go up a tad better |

Dude not everyone here is going to hate Eichel to his core like you do.
If you donât think Tuchâs play has slowed down (and EVERYONE shouldâve known it would) then idk what to tell you.
And yes, he was demoted to a line and has played LESS minutes including under 14 minutes a few games ago
Thatâs a demotion - sbroads24
You do realize that if Eichel ends up with 80 points next year, the argument will predictably shift to "Dude, Eichel is gone. Move on." But if he busts next year, you're allowed to bask in his misery.
