Again, any time you want to make a hockey arguement as to why Jack is supposedly better than Marner. We're all ears.

If you had a mind that could connect dots I wouldn't have to point this out, but EVK suddenly gets better without Jack. ROR gets better without Jack. Notice a trend? Skinner scored goals before Jack, with Jack, and without him again. Jack makes nobody better. Nobody. He has never made a winger better. I thought centers were supposed to do that. I know Marner makes his linemates better, and he's just a winger.

I think the NMC clause is the key. If we have to pay him closer to 6 for a couple of years and then have the ability to move him to pay others, that's a win.

He does not make Matthews, but he certainly makes Matthews a better player. I fully believe this is Jeff Skinner's best season despite the fact he may only get 33 goals. And Vic has shown he is a goal score regardless of who is centering him even if it's fat boy mitts.

Jack has had good players, and all time bad coaches.

Sure, if you look at the bigger picture it's not a disappointment. But when you have 4 games that your team has to have and your star center is a now-show? That's a different story. They got him for games like this and he has supposedly been chomping at the bit to be in them.

All the big forwards on Vegas haven been bad for the last month. Stone is on a 7 game pointless streak, Pacioretty has 3 goals in his last 13 games, Marchessault has 1 goal in 8 games. Other than Marchessault who's been healthy they've all dealt with injuries. Eichel, Stone, and Pacioretty have played a combined 101 games.

If it was just Eichel struggling you'd have a point

Im pretty sure I predicted he would be a lesser player and injured. He's managed to stay on the ice, but he barely looks like a top line player and certainly not a $10 million one. He's also been pointless and bad the last week while Vegas desperately needs him. That's vintage Jack. Never, and I mean never good enough. As I said many, many times, "Go out and score a hattrick, Jack, and shut me up."
