I feel truly blessed that Canucks were able to obtain an octogenarian that was fired from his last position.

Miller just turned 29 mid March, he’ll be 29 for 99% of next season. Point being a five year deal looks like this….29-30-31-32-33.

I thought I read Kane had no interest in Vancouver, too much attention. Home town and all.

- LeftCoaster

While true he just turned 29 in March, his current contract ends next season. So his new contract will kick in when he's 30... 30-31-32-33-34 and he'll be 35 for a few months by the time it ends (if signing a 5 year deal, which I doubt he would).

Please don't be taking your math and contract counting tips from Lordy and the angry others

Good work identifying one player. That 5 minutes of video is really paying off.

My favorite line from here is Jim will fix it in the summer. I tell you the man is a goddamn miracle worker. We are really lucky to have him.

That Sillinger kid looks pretty darn good, too bad Benning traded that 9oa, he’d be great in a Canucks uni. If only.

They should have started Smitty, Koskinen just doesn’t scream confidence to the team.

- K-man25

Agree Smitty should have started.

Fix what? lol in a 54 same sample size we are clipping along at a .668% win rate. What do folks want some cap relief?

Chiasson at 900k
Lockwood at 850 K
Lammikko at 900K
Martin at 762K
Schenn at 850 K
Hunt at 900k
Karlsson at 900 K
Burroughs at 750

Don't know why they overpaid Dermott .

You just didn't get the joke. Canucks should just give more term to Miller at a lesser AAV. No one will give two poops if he's on LTIR for half the season in 2027

Which makes his rants even more amusing. He's such a hypocrite.

Top 15 scoring, points and cap hit:

McDavid - 118 - $12.5
***Huberdeau - 114 - $5.9
**Gaudreau- 111 - $6.75
Draisaitl - 108 - $8.5
Matthews - 102 - $11.64
Kaprizov - 101 - $9.0
*Tkachuk(M) - 101 - $7.0
Marner - 96 - $10.9
Panarin - 96 - $11.64
***Miller - 96 - $5.25
Stamkos - 93 - $8.5
Rantanan - 91 - $9.25
***Kane - 91 - $10.5
Ovechkin - 90 - $9.5
Josi - 90 - $9.06

* pending RFA this off season
** pending UFA this off season
*** pending UFA 2023 off season

Regardless of what fans think is fair, I think if you want to sign Miller to a five year deal then the number is going to be in the high $9’s. Going to have to go longer to get the cap hit near 8.

Someone is giving him 9.5 x 7 or 8. Look no further than Hertls contract. What is it 8.25 x 8 or something like that for like 60 pts

I guess you could not sign an extension this summer, then hope he regresses back to a 50pt player so you can sign him for $6…

Just because other teams give out bad contracts doesn't mean Vancouver needs to as well.

With that being said. Miller will be moved to make room for Malkin

Evander Kane is on pace for a 40 goal year . 10 mil? Gaudreau 12 mil ? Tkachuk 10 mil ?
