Jannik Hansen says Canucks are going to make conference finals next year.

A couple of weeks ago he was going off about how terrible this team was and it needed a tear down.

Bottom 6 with hands of stone and very little hockey sense. He is the exact person fans should listen to about the team.

Evander Kane is on pace for a 40 goal year . 10 mil? Gaudreau 12 mil ? Tkachuk 10 mil ?
- VANTEL

Evander not a chance. Gaudrea is going to get over 10. So will Tkachuk ( he's rfa tho). I'm not saying Van will pay Miller 9.5 I'm saying someone will if he hits the market and has another good year next year

It’s crazy to think that this team has not had a trio of 30 goal scorers in the past 27 seasons. In their history, they have had a trio of 30 goal scorers only four times and one season when they had four players who scored 30 (‘92 season).

You will all see, Jake Virtanen is going to prove you wrong - Lefty. Or was that Pacific?
- manvanfan

Lefty.

"He's the player that is going to turn this franchise around."

"Jake is going to make you guys eat your words."

There were a few other gems(not Pacific) as well...

While true he just turned 29 in March, his current contract ends next season. So his new contract will kick in when he's 30... 30-31-32-33-34 and he'll be 35 for a few months by the time it ends (if signing a 5 year deal, which I doubt he would).

Please don't be taking your math and contract counting tips from Lordy and the angry others

Mangiapane is also a RFA with 35 goals. Where is Calgary going to get all the cap space ? That is 30 mil for 3 players.

I mentioned earlier , the scoring is up this year and inflated but unfortunately the cap isn't following suit.

Canucks will keep Miller for at least most of the year and if they can not come to terms on a new contract they will move him at TDL for a first and a third. Keep in mind the first will be a bottom 15 pick of the first round . People thinking he will get a boatload in return are dreaming.

The strategy of bringing the biggest critics into the fold directly or indirectly like Ray has worked wonders so far.

Top 15 scoring, points and cap hit:

McDavid - 118 - $12.5
***Huberdeau - 114 - $5.9
**Gaudreau- 111 - $6.75
Draisaitl - 108 - $8.5
Matthews - 102 - $11.64
Kaprizov - 101 - $9.0
*Tkachuk(M) - 101 - $7.0
Marner - 96 - $10.9
Panarin - 96 - $11.64
***Miller - 96 - $5.25
Stamkos - 93 - $8.5
Rantanan - 91 - $9.25
***Kane - 91 - $10.5
Ovechkin - 90 - $9.5
Josi - 90 - $9.06

* pending RFA this off season
** pending UFA this off season
*** pending UFA 2023 off season

Regardless of what fans think is fair, I think if you want to sign Miller to a five year deal then the number is going to be in the high $9’s. Going to have to go longer to get the cap hit near 8.

Yup. Trade him and start building Demko a real defense.

I seen one night Canucks were just ready to start a game and the newbie Rachel was posting stuff about Toronto FC ( her team) . I mean she doesn't even try to pretend she has interest in the Canucks

Are you really comparing those two to Mangiapane? He will get around 6.5 I bet. Not sure if they can keep everyone. Not our problem don't care

Indirectly it sets the numbers of what contracts are expected to look like. So in a way it is our problem seeing you are comparing Miller to Hertl .

I am sure GMs are taking note of the inflated scoring this year and keeping that in mind when contract talks happen.

Miller has a full year left and so does Bo . Plenty of time to figure out what to do.

She has retweeted about 10 times more Canucks stuff in the past few months, then your old flame Ryan Biech, in the few years that he has been employed by the team.

Just give him time, and by the way, I’ve been wrong 8 million or more times in my life. But I always keep at it. Anyone who says they have a perfect record in life is completely full of shit
