Goal scoring is crazy this year. Bad defence? Low save percentage? More power plays? What's the actual reason for higher goals being scored. - manvanfan

Sunday Dinner then from the South Shore up to the Forum and Atwater was not open on Sundays.
Those Memorial Cup Teams were loaded, too many to mention, Perreault.
Globensky had a big Afro, He was only there for one reason and when things got ugly the crowd started chanting En vu ? Globensky, Bedard gives him the tap, and away we go. His scraps tith Steve Durbano were Classics. - henny1953
That is right bars and taverns closed on Sundays if I remember correctly. I was referring to the afternoon happy hours weekdays at the Atwater.
I do sort of remember Globensky. The fights were the best part of Jr hockey. Cheap games and good fights. Many moons ago lol. How old are you? Is 1953 your birth year?

Sharks beat Vegas on SO, Canucks still have a chance to catch Vegas for the coveted 17th best position. |

Not yet. There is a scenario which #Canucks can make the playoffs. All of the following must happen:
• VAN wins all 3 games (any fashion)
• DAL loses all 3 incl. vs VGK
• VGK beats DAL, loses other 2
With RW tiebreakers would finish as
NSH (94+)
VAN (93)
—
DAL (93)
VGK (91)

Are the total number of goals being scored higher, or is the distribution just skewed towards a group of players? Canucks for instance have scored 229 so far I think, which seems pretty normal? The elite teams are typically between about 250 and 325, which is where they are now, though I suppose there are more teams higher in that range than typical. |

319 by TB in a full season was the highest. Florida is/was at 325 and has games to play.
I think I looked at last 10 years and 5 teams this season are in the top 10. Already.
I didn't check out the bottom but goal scoring is up this season per game. |

You don't send elite players to the farm team. Plus there is still a glimmer of hope. |

Anecdotally I agree, there seems to be a high number of 7, 8 and 9 goal games. But I bet overall the total number of goals scored isn’t that much different. A 10% increase means a 10 goal scorer got 11 this year. Hardly enough to predict a trend anyway. The Canucks for their part look to be right where a team on the bubble should be. |

I only had to spin the sim lottery 10 times for us to move up to 5th overall.....that's a good omen. |

Myers and Rathbone were the first two I really noticed. - manvanfan
Hard to know who like half of them are.. Myers looks like she plays volleyball. Hoglander makes the prettiest girl, and whoever is 4th row 1st column is a winner too.
JTM, Bo, and Pearson... lol |

The increase is never huge.
This year so far. 1268x3.14 = 3981
Go back to 18-19 last full season. 1271x3.01 = 3825
Not huge difference but still there are more goals being scored.

5th column 1st I swear is an actual woman.
2nd last row 2nd in. I can't tell who that is either. |
