I was just informed it was a blizzard in Thunder Bay today. During that blizzard there was thunder and lightning.

So awesome that they're exactly where the pundits predicted they'd be at the start of the season... on the bubble and missing the playoffs... despite playing .600 hockey. Are they really good, or did they just play the way they were expected to play regardless of who was behind the bench at the start of the season?

I haven't seen many people complaining of late. Bummed that playoff hopes are dead sure, but all the vibes around the team are still pretty good right now, no idea what you're talking about.

JTM is a stud and on a good contract still...
Demko can handle a crazy amount of games (hopefully less next year).
Hughes answered the haters.
EP40 showed he can be a superstar and I have high expectations for next year.
Bo is solid. 30 and 30 next year.

i'd still trade Boeser and Garland next year for defensive depth, picks, prospects and cap space.

Team has missed Hoglander and Pearson. Lots of man games lost for the Canucks this season.

I probably wouldn't go to nuts in the off season. You hope for off season improvements for all the young players. They know better now. The 20 game sprint starts after the 82 game marathon.

They also need a defenseman that stops throwing the puck through the slot on offense and defense. Such a high-risk play, that tends to cost more than save.
I know you, Màkita and several others, are huge Hughes slurpers, but the kid is a disaster.

And a goaltender to lol, allowing 6 goals doesn’t cut it, lots of soft goals lately but they were in it the last 2 games just couldn’t finish it and demko needs to shut the door when it’s tied late in games.

Sleepwalking through half the game couldn’t receive a pass puck bouncing away from them, no intensity. Losing horvat sure showed in the last 10 minutes of both these games.

Did not see Pettersson leading the team with a 30+ goal season after that start but he really came around too.

Hughes a franchise Dman, going to set a team record that has stood for decades. Demko a franchise goalie... team has been one of the best performers since Green was fired almost 5 months ago.

Top 6 was pretty inconsistent even with Bruce.

The Pk although has improved, is still poor. Really could use a right and left defender who is better on the PK. Myers and OEL are not good. Neither is Bo. Miller improved, Bo did not.

Teams just needs about 5 players to be better next season.

Teams 5v5 shooting percentage is pretty well last in the league but the save percentage is number 1. Not generating enough good scoring chances.
