I’m not poking fun and I’m sure we’ve come along way in the business of healing but watching John LeClair go from a consist 50 guy to back injuries was tough to watch. - SuperSchennBros
The techniques are light years better than they were 20+ years ago. Things that used to be career ending (or near to it) are understood more, are minimally invasive, and have better prognosis long-term. John, unfortunately, lived in the stone-age from a sports medicine perspective.
Here's an example - https://www.bbc.com/news/health-24826323
Two Belgian doctors found (or at least described) a ligament that had been overlooked in the knee. They hypothesized that it provided lateral stability and could be injured at the same time as ACL injuries. But since no one knew about it, they'd never fix it, and ACL injuries were often career impacting. How many times did we see someone suffer a knee injury and never be the same?
Well, ALL (the ligament in question) is now often repaired at the same time for sports injuries. And the outcomes are better - https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32617609/

The problem isn't that it's your opinion. The problem is that there is no basis behind it. It's basically he had back surgery so he won't be the same.

I’m glad someone let him have it at that point. He has been singled out by players and coaches alike, even when the bad calls have gone their way. You’re right that he was making terrible decisions all night.
My friend who is a baseball fan, but had no dog in the fight, kept laughing at his wandering strike zone.
The man is awful.
And I just knew the Penguins were gonna give us this one. We all did, right? It just figures.
Regardless, nice job by Cates and Frost. They stepped up. |

It stands to reason that if the Flyers were picking 5th and not 2nd Patrick would have been someone else’s mistake, No? |

Always good to beat the Pens and I always enjoy seeing that scowl on Sullivan's face when his team loses! Not a good game for Brink, but some of these young guys are at least showing potential! Draft position probably isn't all that important this year anyway cause there really isn't a clear cut #1 pick. Lots of speculation and you should get a half decent player in the top 8 picks or so. Thanks! |
