Halak was garbage. No thanks to him. Martin, and find another option. - neem55
He was fine in Boston when he played regularly. Boston fans were sad to see him go. We need to rely on Demko too much this year but hoping with diverse moves this summer we can bolster the D. If Halak played more he would have been way more consistent. Is what it is. |

Big win last night. Martin has played 4 strong games and 0 bad games, this season, and by all accounts, has been good in the AHL.
The backup position is his from here on out.
If the Canucks do take a flyer on a goalie signing next season, I wouldn't mind Samuel Montembeault. |

Well….it’s been fun since Boudreau took over, a lot of positives heading into next year. Miller, Pettersson, Hughes and Garland all with career years for points. Horvat with his best goal scoring season ever. Demko emerging as a legitimate starting goaltender, although he was relied on too much.
Coffee is good this morning; my routine is get the coffee going, feed the dog (Hank), take him for a quick walk, check my emails, check the news, check the stock markets and then head on over to HB for a laugh. Today is no exception
Golfing at 10:30am….95° today, suck it Lordy |

I thought he was really good. I wonder if he could handle a full time backup position? |

Next year under Boudreau with pretty much the same roster should provide results. Good on the boys for a solid effort this season.
And you can suck it. Got my Titleist 'left dash' ProV1x's in the mail and the courses just opened up here. 1* C this AM
F uck you and Arizona. I'm on my way down hold that tee time got a room for rent?

I just got an order of Snell golf balls in the mail, a buddy of mine gave me a sleeve and I shot 72 with one ball so I ordered some online. Slightly low compression for slower swing speeds like mine.
If they did nothing at all with the roster I still think you’d have a bubble team or a wildcard team at best, there’s a lot of areas that need improving. Boeser and Podkolzin are really inconsistent and the defence needs some size, skill, speed and better puck movers. Along with some good face punchers. - LeftCoaster
You must be shooting from the womens tee now.

I heard they can re pick the teams. I wonder if any changes. Forsell and Myrenberg should both have a good shot at Swedens team after their years. |

Lockwood never had a point in 13 games but I thought he played well and he’s slightly bigger/taller than I thought. He’s quick, has some puck skills and he’s not afraid. I can see a spot on in the bottom six for him next season.
Too many small players on the team, Hughes, Petan, Dries, Garland, Hunt, Hoglander, are all around 5’9” tall….can’t have that next season. Now, Hughes is obviously not going anywhere but for the love of God, get some bigger players that can skate and aren’t afraid mix it up physically. |

I still play from around 6500 yards, which would be a monumental task for a midget like you….wink wink.
I agree, that wouldn’t be a bubble team, I just don’t think that’s sustainable for the Canucks in year two under Boudreau. The season is long with a lot of peaks and valleys. Be happy to be wrong…we both know it’s a common thing around here. |

I would expect improvement from some of the young players and consistency also. Health will play a key. Really need more help from depth players next season. PK has to be better. Nothing that is likely ready to have a huge impact out of the prospect pool except for Rathbone.
Canucks diverse management group hopefully make 1 or 2 changes. |

I’m not convinced Florida has the goaltending to get it done in the playoffs. Scoring is going to go down in the playoffs. |

So they'll be scoring 5 goals a game instead of 6 or 7? |

Interesting stat.
Canucks have now missed the playoffs 6 of the last 7 years, making it the worst stretch in franchise history |
