So they'll be scoring 5 goals a game instead of 6 or 7?
- NorthNuck

Maybe?

Remember the Sedins dismantling opposing PK’s at will and then not being able to get a call, or control the play on the PP in the final?

Point is I don’t think Florida will be able to out score poor goaltending, if it crops up.

I just got an order of Snell golf balls in the mail, a buddy of mine gave me a sleeve and I shot 72 with one ball so I ordered some online. Slightly low compression for slower swing speeds like mine.

If they did nothing at all with the roster I still think you’d have a bubble team or a wildcard team at best, there’s a lot of areas that need improving. Boeser and Podkolzin are really inconsistent and the defence needs some size, skill, speed and better puck movers. Along with some good face punchers.

- LeftCoaster

Snell? Interesting will check it...

You aren't seriously campaigning for Green to come back and coach 25 games next year are you

That was really embarrassing.. Dumb coaching strategy to turn the other cheek. It was at moment I knew the Canucks were done.

Big win last night. Martin has played 4 strong games and 0 bad games, this season, and by all accounts, has been good in the AHL.
The backup position is his from here on out.
If the Canucks do take a flyer on a goalie signing next season, I wouldn't mind Samuel Montembeault.

How about the Hamburglar? He’s a local boy.

Same team last I checked. I don’t buy that this is a 100point team as is. Their record early in the season isn’t on Green alone.

Benning shares some blame as do the players and their poor attitude at the time.

Not to excuse them but when you are working for a management team that you have zero faith in, I can understand why the motivation got sucked out of them.

I'd like to see a rebuilt team with Miller, Boeser, Garland, Myers and Hunt/Poolman/Burroughs gone and management actually trying to build a contender and not bolster a bubble team to try and catch fire at the right time to get into the playoffs and freeroll in it.

Even though I think Petey and Hughes are complimentary players at best, they're what we have to build around. At least we have a Vezina-calibre goalie in Demko so we're set in net for 7-8 years there.

lol with the pace they were on under Boudreau this makes no sense. We need to add a RH 3LC and a RHD that can move up/down the lineup. Go from there. Even Ferraro and the TSN analysts said we have 4 bonafide superstars here in Miller, Hughes Petey and Demko. Could even throw Horvat in there the year he had under Boudreau. Defelecting away from how well the team has done since January isn't helping matters. I'm sure the players know what is happening here. Cap issues aside (which can be handled) major changes this summer aren't required. Get Boudreau back, fill a few gaps in the lineup and move on. Wishing for this club to be bad every single year is getting a little ridiculous lol

Yup. Tired of watching a bubble team that 'might' make the playoffs. There are big changes on the horizon.

And wishing the club to fill holes without realizing that the core needs work too is what's led us to this point. Miller will be 30 next year, there's no way this team is good enough to win the cup before Miller ends up declining rapidly. Hughes and Petey are good, but again they're small and disappear in long stretches when the going gets tough like in the Minny and Calgary games and Demko is exceptional but he can't get us there without a lot of help. This is the exact same team that played .300 hockey before Benning and Green were canned, and BB traditionally gives teams boosts for a year or so before his message (and the players) wear out. See Washington, Anaheim and Minny before/after he was hired and then fired.

As we well know, there's lots of time for reflection when your team doesn't make the playoffs.

For now, looking at Quinn Hughes' record-breaking season, Spencer Martin's promise and the Abby Canucks' impending postseason plans in the new blog:

lol wow. The team clips along at .668% under Boudreau and you are looking that far ahead? The window for a good PO run will be upon this club in 1-2 seasons if we just be patient and tweak it. Selling of our 'stars' to get cap relief at this point is redundant. You want another 7-8 years of mediocrity? Go for it. No one is saying Boudreaus PO record is exceptional...but you absolutely cannot discredit what's he's done here with pretty much the exact same roster Green had. So you are basically saying start fresh? Cmon man...be smart.

Just stick to Jerking the Terd bud...
