Again, you're saying this only because we are all curious about them. We did see most of the kids for a game or two - a game or two more isn't going to move the needle. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the kids staying down there all year. - Slump Buster
I'm saying I wanted to see them cause everyone is curious? No I want to see them cause I want to see them against NHL players not AHL players.
I'd like to see if they can actually play D since Roch doesn't. I'd like to see them up here to give them a sense of NHL play.
Don't tell me why I'm saying something.

Offensive maybe. Most complete player not even close. He doesn't defend like a Crosby or a Bergeron. - DirtyDan
I guess the only way I can gauge that is +/-. Taking Sid first 6 seasons he was a +65
McD is a +91.
I think Sid is a fantastic player, but if you asked me to pick a player to start my team with I am saying McD 100/100

And there's absolutely nothing wrong with bringing them up and showing them where they are and where they need to be come training camp.
The goal was for them to play in the playoffs together and do something. Yet they failed on that quest. Shoulda just played em up here.

Well, yes - you're curious about them just as we are all curious about them. Again, they've all been up here for at least a couple of games. Adams didn't drop the ball with any of this.
also, there is no reason to be a jackass with the last statement and graphic. We're all here to exchange ideas - the bickering and stupid graphics aren't needed.

The problem is, you could have played only one of them. They had already used 3 call-ups.

meh, why call them up when we are suppose to lose, let them simmer in the A for a year.
I remember correctly Vanek playing a whole year in the AHL and he scored 43 for them, If I done believe we ever brought him up that year. |

They were also trying to get Rochester in the playoffs
He should have sent Fitzgerald down though

There are two kinds of mistakes.
1. Devastating ones: such as gambling away your kid's college fund at the roulette table.
2. Survivable ones: such as mis-stepping and stubbing your toe.
This one falls well into the latter category. |

Possible Underlying factor -
Borderline dirty
McDavid- none of the above - Boss34
Advantage Sid. Give me a great dirty player over a great clean player any day of the week, all other things being equal.

I believe that was the strike year so it wasn't an option. So in that sense it all worked out - the kids got to play a whole year down there and then came up the following year and were super productive (obviously).

So franking what. We have been out of the playoff picture since late October. Let the kids simmer in Rochester. they were trying to make the Playoffs, they would do no good in Buffalo this year.
Bring them into training camp fresh and hungry.

He had his lowest totals in a full season while here. He was productive but not super productive

Lord purple helmet :
Problem is : nobody is giving you the great dirty player, you're team needs to beat the great dirty player. He plays for Pittsburgh ☝️
That's why I listed sid as unlikable vs McDavid. He's been dirty agaisnt the Sabres.....

So if a rookie's first year is 25 goals and 23 assists, you don't consider that super productive? Ummmm..... ok.
And for the record I was referring to the group of kids in my post - they were great that year. Insert stupid graphic.

Yes. And have them know where they need to be. Gain x amount of weight. Work on y.
