This same thing was said about Thompson. Samuelsson was a terrible skater. Dahlin was being run out of town because he sucked, etc etc.
It's also amusing that Skinner is untouchable AGAIN, especially when most would have GIVEN HIM AWAY last year and the year before.
My point? Krebs is basically on a 40 point pace, as a 21 year old rookie, and if I'm the GM I'm not giving up on him just yet, especially in a trade for a 33 year old w one year left on his deal who won't be here past the trade deadline (and if he is, we'll start crying age whining that they didn't move him then). - Powerslave
I would not either, but if Vegas or Tampa said we would take Krebs for Theodore or Cernak I would. He like Mitts or Olofsson to me could be used in the right deal, we have resources to replace them. |

is he your new whipping boy? - homiedclown
I don't expect the Sabres to trade Krebs, and won't blame them when they don't. He's young and has a lot of room to grow.
However, if Kevyn Adams were to use him in a trade for a higher-end top 6 forward, I would applaud the stones that I don't think he has shown he has yet. |

I think the Marlies can't get more than one point in their last games(?)
And obviously Rochester is a must win.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong. - Powerslave

How do you know that? Did you know that Thompson would ever have a season like he's had? - RichardRoma
I don't *know* but the odds say he never gets to a ppg because the vast majority of NHLers dont. Pat Kane does all the time. There's no mystery in what he's going to do. He's going to make whomever plays on a line with him boatloads better at scoring goals. |

If I'm trading Krebs, it's for a better forward. Top 6 forward is a much bigger hole than defense right now.

When it comes to free agency, I think the general consensus is that the Sabres need to prove to the world the dysfunction is ended in the win column. Until then, those types of players will have to come via trade.
It's just the same situation as the Bills. They needed to trade for Stefon Diggs in order to really make Buffalo a destination. There's no way he signs in Buffalo in 2020 if he were a free agent. Only when he and Allen started winning big games did Buffalo become a destination players wanted to play in. - buffalofan19
Very good post
Just wondering whether or not nhl players "took notice "
Did we win enough to lure free agents?
Trades are trades, and diggs is a great example, but has anything really changed around the nhl, in regards to buffalo as a destination? Probably need 1 more playoff type year IMO |

how rochester is out ranked 6th in their division and bridgeport ranked 6th is in with worse win percentage
same for iowa being out and san diego being in

What if Chicago asks for Krebs, multiple firsts, and Owen Power for Kane? Do you still do the trade? |

Adding pk88 would be awesome, wonder what the outside perspective is on the Sabres recent play?
You think players (2) top 6 believe in what seems to be happening?
Or the past 12 years of disfunction - Boss34
I think you might also have to factor in his desire to get paid. Most of the elite teams wouldn't have the cap to sign him. So it is possible that he could see us as a team on the rise AND have the ability to give him what he is worth.
And being a local boy, I wonder how strong the allure of winning a cup here would be.

I just don't see what makes krebs so much worse then casey or cozens
more should be expected from all 3 |

I heard Marty Biron try to explain it on the Instigators while driving in the car the other day and my head started hurting.

Krebs
Or
Vegas pick 16
Florida pick 23-26
Probably close right? |

This is correct. I think sillyboy's posts about Krebs suddenly turning into a 33goal 85 point center is where the focus on him started. |

Cozens plays a much better 2-way game than the other 2. That's why I want another center to either slot between Thompson and him, or even better, slot above Thompson. As good as Thompson's been this year, he likely won't even eclipse 70 points unless he has a monster game tonight.

Think it said the right deal. And there's very few on this team I wouldn't trade if it helped make us a better overall team. |

Probably close. You'd probably end up needing to use at least 2 of the 3 to get a Top 6 caliber forward though.
