Flyers should try to mend fences with Sandstrom, offer the guy a one year deal as a backup to Hart and see where things go.

frankly with Bedard as the prize in 2023. Flyers should just focus on bringing back the same team. You just cant pass on the kid especially where the Flyers are talent wise.

That was the 40th time this year they scored 2 goals or less in a game. Half the schedule. As pathetic as it gets.

Bedard would be great, but with the revamped odds, even the team finishing last only has a sliver over a 25% shot to land the top pick.

We’d have to be lucky on top of being bad.

A tanked season doesn’t help you now like it once did.

As trolling go, Pavel, that was a 2021-22 Flyers level of execution.

When there are five teams scoring at a lower rate, it does, by definition, get more pathetic.

Now, when a team's power play success rate after 80 games is at its lowest in a 54-season franchise history, THAT is something you can cite.

Have they scored a PP goal since the blog where you stated they were 8 for the last 100 PP opportunities?

I feel like the win against the Penguins ends up screwing them over for the draft....

It's always got to be the Penguins screwing them over!

Depending how the last few games go, they can finish with less goals than every team in the NHL outside of the Coyotes. Are they the measuring stick now?

Your obsession with defending this dumpster fire borders on insanity.

And we have the Penguins to thank for that.

And your obsession with trashing this organization every chance you get defines insanity.

I can't think of a single positive post you've ever made here. Yours must be a sad, lonely life.

When you have the last decade this team has put up, what should they have rose pedals laid out for them? GTFOH. They deserve to be shredded on every level.

As for the personal comment, (frank) off you don't know a thing about me.

You missed the part about the worst power play in franchise history. If that's defending them, I'm doing it the wrong way.

Thanks so much for starting a new thread. The last thread was littered with basketball crap. I guess the one guy is apparently a genius about BB too?

Anyway, this is why I don't tout rookies too quickly. Brink really looked good against the Habs, but I guess that's cause they were giving everyone lots of time and space to make plays. He's going to have to quicken the pace that he plays the game at to be a regular top 6 NHL forward. The Flyers PP coach should have been fired yesterday. There is absolutely no movement on that PP. Everyone just stands around passing the puck around the perimeter or around the boards. FIRE HIM!! Thanks!

Bill the PP was the worst ever because of two people, GM & Coach who put keith Yandle on the no1 PP for most of the season. THATS WHY IT WAS THE WORST EVER!!!piss poor management.

Brink is going to be asked this offseason to lower his body fat percentage by a bit. It's fine for college hockey where you play twice a week (usually FRI/SAT, but not always) but the pro game is more grueling. He'll be fine. Just an adjustment.

Really curious on the HC search. Fletcher went the retread NHL HC route and failed. Does he go the opposite direction? Bill has mentioned Jim Montgomery in the past. I wonder who else.

It will be a lazy hire imo, like a Tocchet. Then all the talk about bringing "Flyers" hockey back. Then more nostalgia talk. All while the on ice results wont change much to make any difference.

How about when Yandle wasn't on the PP? He spent plenty of time on PP2 and then off the PP than he did on PP1. The numbers were awful any which way.

Also, for those inclined to jump right to "Ghost would have made a big difference", considering that the Coyotes are at 13.5%, keeping Ghost here for the PP would not have moved the needle much.

I think it's gonna be someone they can 'sell' to the fans. Someone like Torts, who's a great quote or Tocchet who's an ex-Flyer.

Jim Montgomery isn't sexy enough of a hire even if he is the right guy (and the guy I want).
