5.5 million is a good number for him. Truthfully they need to improve the defence before anything. - LeftCoaster
They do, the issue is the amount of cap space tied into that D. They need to do it through the draft primarily. |

Yes, needs to learn the speed of top tier college football, then NFL football. I guess it depends on how quickly he learns. |

Aside from some team offering you actual assets for OEL or Myers, the best course of action is bringing in youth to learn from their experience and moving them down the road at a lesser cost. |

That he scores goals, which is a very hard to do in the NHL, and he has a high hockey IQ. - LeftCoaster

Truthfully, you’re the one who doesn’t understand the game or how it’s supposed to be played. But I get that, you just watch on tv and think you know. |

I like him, on another team.
Is there any player in the league, easier to play against? |

Man you can build a team quickly in the NFL with drafted kids jumping right into your lineup. |

For 1/3 of the games all year you're starting down 1-0. If he's a 25-30G scorer, they don't grow on trees. There's absolutely now way I'd sign him anywhere near his qualifying offer, maybe another team sees it differently. I think he'd benefit from a 1-2 year deal and potentially so could the club. |

I feel and have said on occasion, that I don't like the makeup of this team, Brock is a part of what I don't like on this team.
The coaches seem to like him, as they play him 18-20 minutes per night, and we all know Travis Green is a sought after coach and Boudreau is an excellent regular season coach |

don’t take it personally, you’re in the 99.9 percentile of fans. 23 goals puts you in the 100 forwards in the NHL, 30 puts you in the top 50. It’s not easy to score goals.
I’ve been away from the game for a long time but you don’t have to be a dynamic player to be a good player or even a useful player. Yes Boeser is a poopty skater and he’s no where near a 7+ million dollar player, but he’s no where near a poor player. Daniel Sedin almost scored 400 NHL goals being a poopty skater and won the Art Ross. Boeser makes small under appreciated plays that most people don’t notice, but they matter.
I’d like them to use him to improve the defence. |

The biggest issue IMO is not enough talent and overpaying a majority of it. In order to overcome this you have to A) retain it B) not overpay it C) acquire more of it. Boeser is gross at anywhere near his QO, but the real problem is that when the coach looks down the bench wanting a goal there still aren't 6 better options. |

I definitely can tell you have been away from the game for a long time, you think Brock can be used to help fix the defense. |

He's been making a lot of noticeable defensive plays of late. Defensively responsible forwards is part of the answer on defense.
I think our D is largely fine. We have OEL with Myers and Hughes with Schenn and We just need some reliable cheap 3rd pairing guys who can keep things even and contribute on the PK. Burroughs and Dermott seems like part of the answer there and we could use some young blood to supplement injuries.
Poolman was oft injured and generally bad this year, hopefully they ship him out or he's better next year. Hunt was okay as a spare part. |

Without doing any research on it, I'll boldly say there are very few teams on which Brock isn't at least the 6th best offensive player. |
