That's it homie, as industrial jobs were pushed out in the US and the tech industry really took over prices and demands have skyrocketed. Younger Generation came blame who they want, but they are driving prices up as much as anyone else.

I would pay good money to see Gen X and boomers have to start over at age 25 and try to make a living in this environment they created.
- Pegullaville

The boomers that died in Vietnam? Gen Xers who had the lowest wage growth ever?

I love mellenials. Think they are only generation who had struggles

It’s economics 101. Supply and demand. The same people crying food and rent prices in America are too much are the same people calling others racist for not wanting millions of illegal immigrants coming in the country.

Those millions of people are now buying the same food and houses you used to. Supply and demand….

This is such a cop out. I am a millennial but an older one. I worked all through highschool (saved my money) graduated with enough to go to a private college and only have to get like a 15k student loan to graduate. Took a job making decent money away from everyone I knew and worked my way up in the company. I now employ all these kids that try to tell me what they are going to do each day and only complain about hours the day after they get their paycheck.

I was the second member of my family to go to university. I did what society told you to do and go get a degree. I also have a accredited financial designation.

My spouse is an RN, however she is on matnerity leave with our little one.

We share a 2014 Jetta since she doesn’t need a car, and we save all of our paycheck money cause we live with her parents. I do not however, want to buy a shoebox in a sellers market.

That does not mean that society itself isn’t a crap shoot. Most millennials can’t get a property without a huge cheque from mommy and daddy.

The household income we are making current day would have been able to comfortably get a 3 bedroom house in London prior to Covid.

So poopty luck for being born 3 or 4 years later I guess ?

Lowest wage growth ever yet assets were far more in line with income earned.

Have you looked at asset prices per average income earned these days ?

20 something year olds don’t have the benefit of decades of saving either or a house that doubled in value in 15 minutes.

Every generation has had these issues. I too got screwed by the housing market. Bought a house in 2007 and sold in 2011. Took a loss of 25k on selling a house I paid into for 3.5 years.

Inflation alone is 8.5% right now, and that’s the BS fudged number.

So what was real inflation once you consider housing amongst other things not included in CPI ?

15% would be my guess and it may be even closer to 20%

We coulld have had him at the draft and Pegulas are friends with his family but took Nylander instead

Probably would have to give up too much to get him

on the current inflation

stevie wonder saw it coming 18 months ago

I made minor changes ahead of time to offset future issues

killed the country club membership and joined the American Legion

cut golf rounds down 50 percent
cut concerts down 50 percent
eat out once every other week instead of 2 times a week
stocked up on dry good foods

still go on all the vacations, just got leaner in other parts of our life

I liked Bryson the last month or so. He did have some blunders early on

I’m okay with the d core. But I’m also taking into consideration that Bryson and fitz were rookies.

I agree fitz is your 7th d. Bryson can stay in the top 6.

This is an out there comment but getting letang and malkin. Throw stupid money at them for 2 years

I doubt they come. But worth a shot.

- Sabretooth9

Resurrect the Pens triplets… Letang, Malkin, MAF…. Dumb money for a year or two.

Come on Tuch, broker the deal!

Do we have any ex Pens left in the front office?

Send the pegula jet to pick them all up after the playoffs.

Buffalo Bills: Baylon Spector, LB, Clemson - A- Grade
This is a quality value pick, as I thought Baylon Spector could've gone as early as the fifth round. Finding more linebacker depth was essential for the Bills.

Thank you for the condolences, part of the wager revolved around Sam's ability to stay in the lineup.
Good betting on homie's part

I'm happy with both girgensons and goaloffson.
Both had excellent seasons.

There is a concern on part of this if you look at the cost of vehicles, pricing programs for them etc…. The msrps are artificially inflated to drive the residual value to drive down lease payments, which is nothing more than renting a vehicle. Now if you want to save cash to buy something great, but anything new is insane. Anything used is just as insane. I’m resigned to the fact that I will never buy a new car. I’ll keep finding deals on used stuff. But again that market has been getting jacked up since cash for clunkers (there are those crusty, self serving old franks screwing with the market again), then the bailouts and just “writing down” the GM “loan”. Now chip shortages and a sprint to ev’s, which don’t get me started on vehicles that have more of a carbon footprint than a combustion engine, that china has the market cornered on some materials, that our power grid can’t handle in mass and are still majority powered by dead dinosaurs. Not to mention the waste after the expire or long term utilization in the north east and what the salt and brine are going to do to a 10 year old Tesla…. Makes zero sense but the government is pushing this through cafe standards and companies have to comply (there are those self serving, crusty old franks again)….

Now should we look at the cost of education and the push for college college college over the trades? And why don’t the institutions ever get called out for raising the costs at the rate they have? The self serving, crusty old franks want to give “free” college away (nothing is free and all debts are paid). But they never attempt to hold the institutions responsible for driving the cost of education through the damn roof. The self serving crusty old franks simply took away private lending for education (it all has to run through the federal government) and did it through the ACA. Odd how college lending ended up in the affordable care act but those crusty old franks said we’d have to pass it to see what’s actually in it. Which those franks can take every fracking one of there 1,000 plus page bills and shove them directly up their collective asses. Dropped with no time to read them and simply jammed through, now with proxy voting as well, because why should those franks have to show the Frank up for franking work…

Ok now that I’ve gone full Beady, I’m going back to cleaning my franking house.
