cut golf rounds down 50 percent
cut concerts down 50 percent
eat out once every other week instead of 2 times a week
stocked up on dry good foods

still go on all the vacations, just got leaner in other parts of our life

Can’t say the same for hundreds of thousands graduating with student debt out the ears and having to jump into the world right now.

Now sure, a simple answer would be to go into the trades and not accumulate such debt, but you still have to come up with large down payments some how without years of building up savings

I got a cracked fire stick. Every channel is free now. Have to pay 20 euros every 6 months to a website in Europe. Love it.

And the large company a close friend of mine works for gave everyone a 2% raise each of the past 2 years.

I went through a lot of growing pains in the early 30's

wife had 40 k worth of debt she brought into the marriage that I was unaware of, 10 became 40 and mom and dad did not pay for wedding stuff she said they did, etc, etc, etc

many 80-100 weeks during those 10 years to clean up mess and be in position for paid off house by the time I was 45

Some Companies are doing well, some companies aren't. Material shortages are everywhere. Most major contractor's are 6 months behind. If you own some kind of Shipping Company you are probably banking it right now.

my sales are down about 25 percent, but I had to adjust my prices to be more profitable taking the less is more approach and increase my portion of flipping plants (plants are pre ordered and orders are shipped same day plants arrive)

by doubling up my plant orders each month, my guess is total profit is only down about 10 percent

I have also seen a lot of businesses similar to mine, just shrink their inventory and are going down the slow death approach
