So are yawl ready to bring Kaner home for next season, and what will it take? I think if you take all of his salary and maybe Jonny Toews at half salary, it would not take as much.
Not sure how many people remember this ….Pre Covid break / pre Covid outbreak for the Sabres.
We got 4 out of 6 points vs the wild caps and pens.
That was the first glimmer of hope we had all year of the team playing better.
Then the next turning point was the leafs first game before Eichel. That it when everything got better
Even some of the loses during the 2nd wave of improvement you could see we just needed an average NHL goalie and anderson / tokarski failed the team.
This offseason …… goalie needs to be a number 1 priority.
Then Adams needs to carefully find big money players to sign due to be under the cap. The only problem with that is they need to buy into the kids and progress they have made

Maybe their thinking is quantity over quality with the later round picks and hope they hit on one or two. - Powerslave
I think the philosophy is getting bodies for camp that at least have a shot, even if it is a long shot, of making the team or the practice squad. Beane has stated it is tough to get quality undrafted free agents to sign with the team because they know they probably won't catch on. By loading up on late round picks, he gets some of spots that would have been updrafted fa before.
