no long term starter goalie on radar, just a bridge guy
no top 4 RD needed to play with power, just a d man
johnson may or may not sign in a year
let anderson take time off to figure out if he wants to come back or not
keep all 3 first round picks and build the pipeline
it was more of a reflection presser instead of full steam ahead for 22-23 season and assuming we are going to lose a decent goalie prospect and d prospect in the next 12 months, I think they really need to go full steam ahead and gain a decent reputation outside of the locker room - homiedclown
I don’t wanna see Anderson back as the #1,
but none of that is unreasonable
Getting average goaltending shouldn’t be difficult yet I’m less confident then ever they’ll accomplish that.
UPL and Levi shouldn’t even be in the discussion for viable goalies when one is routinely hurt and the other isn’t even a pro yet
Why are they being brought up? - sbroads24
They should have gotten another look at UPL this season. He earned it. I think he's gotta be in the discussion, but there's more uncertainty than there should be.
I feel like they are going to hit the pause button for 22-23 instead of moving forward and I don't like that - homiedclown
There’s room between “hitting pause” and “spending to the cap” though
The kids we already have still need to grow
Cozens, Mitts, Jokiharju, etc
Heck, even Dahlin
And Power is sure to have ups & downs with more development needed
Quinn & Peterka have barely sniffed the NHL
This team is far from fully formed
And the IMPATIENCE of fans isn’t gonna change that
I get that everyone is tired of losing,
but that doesn’t mean we are “ready” to win yet either
Good points, hopefully it's just a ",gee golly" exterior with KA. He's playing along....
Wonder what the difference is between a guy we trade for this offseason or a guy we trade for after Anderson gets injured?
Neither is probably a playoff caliber guy ? Hopefully they get kuemper or quick - Boss34
I don't really see the connection/fit on some these guys. I wouldn't be willing to trade anything significant for Quick and LA doesn't need cap space. Kuemper will have better opportunities and KA's made it clear he's not interested in a big, long term deal on a G.

The Sabres have to use some sort of cap space. Bringing the band back together as is. Still won’t hit the cap minimum

The pair of options that scare me the most are sending a 1st round pick plus for Gibson or sending the Sabres 1st this season for Hellebuyck.

Wonder if internally tpegs the fan pushes things forward a bit?

Like i said,

I think we’ll do a few moves, but not go remotely crazy
Seem to still be in the “draft & develop” phase of the rebuild
But that doesn’t mean we won’t bring in a goalie,
or the right forward/defenseman if the right deal presents itself

UPL can’t even stay healthy. I have no clue what to think of him. I’m leaning toward bust right now
Devi needs roch after college. So I’m not worried about that. He’s 2 years away - Sabretooth9
Agreed but Adams is scared of “blocking them”.
It’s ridiculous, his press conference should consist of “my #1 priority is winning hockey games”. Period. Not worrying about blocking unproven goalies from the roster

It’s not ridiculous at all to think these kids still have some growing to do before the focus becomes just winning
Developing these kids to be their best is important

Is that what is going on? You’re on a ledge dude, step back a little.
