Power? He will be on the second one I think. They run 1 D man on the first.
- Stripes77

He's a number one pick and has plenty of offensive instincts and skill.

Why wouldn't they run the top power play unit with both Dahlin and Power?

He might, but the PP did pad his production this season.

He's a tough decision. One of the few who is movable and no KA connection.

- Lunaion

9 even strength points since March 1st and 7 pp points since March 1st.

He certainly looked much better the last stretch.

5 goals and 11 assists the last 28 games of the season (March through the end of the regular season).
- kingcong39

And he won't be fully healthy until the summer.

Casey battled through the entire year.

Because then they put out Power against the teams second pk unit. He has 8 NHL games under his belt.

They run both PP units very differently. Get another stud forward and you could see Power anchoring the 2nd unit with 4 forwards like Dahlin does the top unit.

Power isn’t Dahlin as far as the offensive side of his game goes.

He mentioned on player in specific that was instrumental in his development on how to be a professional…MAF…

Bring him in Buffalo. Pair him with UPL next year.

I think he’s on the second PP.

Tuch Skinner Thompson Quinn Olofsson Dahlin Mitts

All vying for that top PP.

- Stripes77

Don't discount Krebs' vision or Quinn's mitts, too.

They should have 2 very dangerous PP units any way you slice it.

They were 1st overall in the league the last two months of the season, I believe they said last night.

The fact that they play very different styles is what would make it so interesting to see them together on the PP.

Baltimore could be a good target for a trade up into the 4th
Austin
Likely are still there a couple decent CB'S too

Go away. Been waiting for this since after the game ended. So you would rather have RJ’s 50 years of service to buffalo sports end in a loss so we can move up 2 spots in the draft? Ur a joke. I can only explain it to you being young and dumb

Final bet results:

Sam Reinhart 82 points (78 games)

Olofsson 49 points
Zemgus 18 points

82 points beats 67 points.

I will say this if Zemgus plays a full season and Olofsson doesn’t get hurt they probably squeak out a win here.

A healthy Olofsson might be a 60 point player.

Homie wins the beat.

Yes that and a tool. I never like personal jabs on here and stray away but u need to be called out. Guy dedicated 50 years of his life to buffalo, in tears last night, prob not much life left to give and ur talking bout losing that game to move up two spots.

Go back to that rat hole u call canada tell all your buddies how much money you make more than then trading. Im sure they love it as much we do on here.

You should be banned just for being a disgrace of a human and sabres fan. Man ur parents hugged you too much when u were a kid and gave you too many 12th place ribbons

Maybe.

Zemgus hasn't broken 20 points in 6 seasons now.

Are the Sabres starting to Get It as an organization? It's becoming increasingly difficult to say no.

Rat hole Canada ? The only reason why there are still two professional teams in Buffalo when they probably have been moved over a decade ago ?

Haven’t talked markets or trading in over a year.

But hey you’re doing great !

Super happy for Kyle to deservedly win the Rick Martin award. Been stanning him the past couple of years. Still would like to see Tuch with the C, but we know these days it doesn't matter too much who's wearing the C and who wears the A as far as who's the real leaders in the room. Tuch, Kyle and Zemgus next year for your C A A.

Don't really mean to bring up Jack, but I don't recall ever seeing a video about how great of a leader he was.

This off-season will tell the rest of the story.

The on ice product is worlds better. The way this team played made hockey fun to watch again. The way this team battled made hockey fun to watch again.

As much as I’ve bashed Kim and co in the past, the way they handled RJ’s send off was simply done right.

That leaves Adam’s and this off-season to see if the front office has turned the corner. There are some decent sized decisions to make (Olo for example). Filling the Goalie pipeline. And attempting to compete with 1 goalie, 1 RD and maybe 1 forward. While adding the kids (Quinn, JJP, UPL).

Do they attempt to compete. Or do the keep it economically efficient. The way this team battled, they deserve a couple upgrades and let ‘em play!

What?

What do you think would happen if we moved the border and most of Southern Ontario was in the US?

Nothing would change, in fact we'd probably have a baseball team too because the market would roughly double in size.

You act like if they were Americans they wouldn't come to football or hockey games, and frankly, that's a donkey brained notion.

I still think the 'economically efficient' narrative is a bit exaggerated. They've been rebuilding the staff, they had a huge payroll the year they said it. With all the young guys on the roster/in the org, their payroll makes a ton of sense.

I was more so speaking about the whole thing, the team is trending up, but the fan/team interaction has improved leaps and bounds. Their ceremonies are extremely well prepared and executed. I think they looked at the last few years and I just hope they felt embarrassed by the whole damn thing. On and off ice.

It goes without saying that there's a long way to go, but long term it's easy to say things are looking up. Just keep hiring the right people and signing the right complementary players. I hope Kevyn spends another offseason in Beane's office.
