Relying on Quinn and Peterka to put up meaningful minutes all season long is not a great plan, IMO.

We've all seen how development is not linear, and most of the time rookies struggle

- ImThatGuy

"relying" is the wrong word. The bottom line is that the kids are going to play and it has to be that way. Unless there are trades there are realistically only a 2 or 3 roster spots for skaters. I am sure a vet or two will be brought in but other than that I am fine with watching the kids grow another year.

I know Quinn will. JJ im not so sure about.

Relying on a middle six forward to do better with more minutes is not a better plan. I'd rather stick with the young guns and let em build chemistry and synergy

What is it you like about them? They aren't good together and neither fits what they need from their third par. It's also a very easy area for them to spend some $ and improve.

I know you like everything right now, but that's low hanging fruit.

I would guess both byson and Fitzgerald would become better players with more nhl ice time and seaonasoning?
No different than other players.

The top 4 including joker ( 5 including a trade for a scrappy vet d ) will play the majority of the game.

Bryson is fine for a 6
Fitz for a healthy scratch.

Specifically I like Bryson's speed and vision
Fitzgerald toughness and willngness to fight for a teammate

There literally isn't space for a forward to get more ice time... If you think Quinn is gunna sit in the bottom 6 you are highly mistaken
- DirtyDan

Exactly, same goes for the poster wanting (2) top 6 forwards ๐Ÿ˜€

The only 3 Forwards I'd pencil in as top 6 at this point.
Skinner-Thompson-Tuch.
Maybe VO. But dont know if he is going to be on the team going forward.

We can't improve our forward group from the outside because of two guys with a combined four games of NHL experience. Say that out loud...with a straight face.

Quinn can't possibly be scheduled for bottom 6 minutes

He still has to earn top 6 minutes first.

So when we drafted jack and sam had 9 games experience in 2015, we're you able to contain your sense of humor?

did we get any stimulus check cards. that matters

No but we are giving Ukraine 100 billion dollars so they can buy weapons from us and you gotta spend money to make money so all is well on the Weastern front.

Tim Murray traded for Ryan O'Reilly the same day he drafted Jack Eichel, did he not?

He looked solid when I watched him down under but his stint up in the bigs was so-so.

He might just take a little longer than Quinn

If Quinn didnt get injured / mono he may have already played top 6 nhl minutes this season.

Were talking about a top organizational prospect.

Peterka should be a bit of a guess still

Sure, we didnt have a 6'7 machine at 1C scoring 38 at the time.

Not sure what this has to do with 2015 and expecting 2 guys with 9 games of experience to play top 6 minutes.

Maybe I'm higher on quinn ?

I'm so borderline with him. I really think he can take his game to the next level. Its up to him and if he can stay healthy though.

Thereโ€™s absolutely room and it has nothing to do with Quinn.

People do understand players get hurt, all the time, right?
