I think Adams has done well so far.

If he doesn’t try and make significant improvements after having a team play at a 90-95 point pace for 30+ games to end the year, it’s because he isn’t that good at this, or the Pegula’s care more about the bottom line, either which way isn’t a good thing

We're not winning the president's trophy next year. Florida added piece by piece over the past several years. It didn't happen in one or two or even three off-seasons. It took a decade for Hurberdeau to have his career season.

Adams has to be smart and disciplined about this. He can't make dumb moves just to appease the few who want instant gratification (and yes, he's been on the job 23 months for those who are going to say, "bUt eLeVEN yEaRs, ThoUGh!").

Imagine us being able to add a 85 point player.... Its just not in the cards.

You are trying to compare our situation to the president trophy winners.

2) The assumption is that most people will play even better next year as they get more experience under their belts
3) Swapping in Power, Quinn and Paterka for guys that will be shot into the sun in the offseason

They’re complete NHL unknowns. For all we know they make us worse as rookies

1) seasons can not be broken down into sections
Such as ( after march 1st)
2) the assumption is everyone will regress, despite being a year older
3) power only played a handful of games, can't expect him to do anything. Quinn and peterka have 4 games of nhl experience. You certainly can't project non nhlers into a lineup.
Eakin, bjork and butcher are vets. Not going to be shot into the sun.

Who said anything about the President's Trophy. I am talking pushing for a playoff spot. You can still draft for the future and add a few pieces in the off-season. It will not kill anything
