Who said anything about the President's Trophy. I am talking pushing for a playoff spot. You can still draft for the future and add a few pieces in the off-season. It will not kill anything - Buff36
Maybe adding a few pieces kills the family atmosphere in the lockerroom.
Everyone seems to be in the same page... |

Dont you think the team continuity is the reason for the late season success?
Same group pre and post trade deadline.
Looks like it's working, for the first time in a decade.
Let's add 2 new top 6 , 2 goalies, a 4th defenseman better than joker... otherwise KA isnt doing his job đź‘Ť |

So are the Sabres just stuck with Eakin, Butcher, and Pysyk? |

So adding a G, RD, Top 6 winger might hurt the atmosphere in the room, or it just might help it, especially if the team is playing well. And don't know where Adams isn't doing his job came from, I pretty much have had Adams back since he was hired. |

Relax, brotha.
I think we're jumping the gun on being miserable about the off-season just a little bit here. You always say, we'll see what they do.
I agree that he can make a couple moves. Just that he's got to be disciplined about it. We're not in an organizational position to be doing the ol' "Tim Murray 3-for-1's".
Add your stop gap goalie, defenseman and top 9 F, but they've got to keep building, too. |

1 trade
2 ufa signings
not much for assets would be lost |

God I would hope he wouldn't TM it. But certain things can be added without hurting the future. |

I mean if you got malkin or kadri and letang
it's a better team then the bruins with anderson and tokarski in net |

Its taken Florida 8-9 years to put a team like this together.
Stopping kidding yourself. Its not a overnight job. - DirtyDan
Yes and no. Barkov Huberdeau and Ekblad have been there since drafted, but there are only three others who were on the roster when NYI spanked them out of the qualifying round in the Toronto Bubble Games 2 years ago.
Weegar is another, and iirc, that was Bob and Acciari’s first season in FL.
Not saying to sell the farm or whatever, but KA needs to start adding more pieces where he sees a need. The kids who would be “blocked” will just have to step it up and win a roster spot/ice time.
Edit( that’s part of why FL has done so well this season, everybody earned their roster spot, and if performance drops there is someone more than capable of taking their spot from them. Internal competition will only help to become a really good team. |

Would DK- Kris Letang-Lawson Crouse be good adds. They certainly wouldn't kill the future. But they could help the present. |

lawson would be a big add for middle 6
if casey or krebs is ready to be a mid 6 center in the fall it would be enough up front
he plays a heavy game when needed

...and Hornqvist, Gudas, Marchment, and even Lomberg have helped beyond just the “grit” they’ve added.
And also Luostarainen |

Yeah, those guys will probably beat power, bryson, Quinn and peterka out of spots at camp 🙄
