Sure, league was basically shut down for a while, some teams more than others. 4 (and even 5) game weeks are brutal.

What do you think about line numbers? I don’t think that’s really the case anymore either. Maybe it’s a top 9 and a checking line, but don’t think teams really have a top six. Talk about Quinn being too good to be in a top six is crazy. He’ll be lucky to be considered in the top 9 and should thrive on a 3rd line.

It’s that a lot of this penciled in roster for 2022/23 is completely unproven and leaving spots open for them when upgrades could/will be available is really a short sighted vision

I'm with you there too. If your checking line is your top defensive line, they get a bad rap. Our 4th line's been almost as important as the 2nd and the 3rd is often effectively the 4th. It's not what it used to be.

So anyone have any ideas. I post once and it allows it and then it pops up error code 400 and won't let me post again. Reset my phone let's me post once and same error code. Any suggestions

I’m indifferent on what they do with Hinostroza, he could move to line with Girgs and Okposo and Asplund goes up if they want to resign him. But if they can get a free agent like Forsberg then they can let him walk. That’s probably not saying much. I’d be willing to include Krebs or Mittsy in a trade. Especially if that’s how they open up a spot for another free agent like Gaudreau.

Or maybe Scheifele is this year’s Reinhart. We know what it takes to get that level of player in a trade.

Heard Bulldog mention Elliott Friedman’s 32 thoughts last week and checked it out. Friedman said he talked to an NHL Exec who said something like “Dahlin, Samuelson and Power in the top 4 are going to be a real problem and not for the Sabres.”

The League knows what’s coming. Sabres are going to be a force and players are already going to want to come here IMO. Just gotta hope the Sabres have been lean enough for long enough. They shed a lot of costs last year.
