I was low on him during the year when he would get brought up. But he would help ina few areas. He seems like a moneyball move (minus the cheap contract).

ALso Sean Monahan for basically free from a CGY fan.

CGY needs to clear cap, i doubt hed cost anything. You might even get an asset like a 3rd with him.

worst case scenario he's bad and you have a bad player for one year that helps your cap.

Best case scenario. he's finally healthy, plays well and is re-signed or is traded for assets.

So this is something that I've been thinking about for a while. How much traffic could Ek be generating through this site these days? If memory serves me this site came to prominence after the last lockout. If you go the main page it is pretty clear that this is about the only blog that has any kind of activity. He can't possibly be paying most of these bloggers.
