So this is something that I've been thinking about for a while. How much traffic could Ek be generating through this site these days? If memory serves me this site came to prominence after the last lockout. If you go the main page it is pretty clear that this is about the only blog that has any kind of activity. He can't possibly be paying most of these bloggers.

I dont have access to the raw data, but I'm told (because pay is partially click driven) that the Sabres blog gets 30-70k clicks a month depending on time of year and what's happening

While this is not my area of expertise, I wonder how much unique visitors are valued. Most of those visits are probably from the same 20 - 30 people.

Not sure, but I do know that number is based on up to 10 clicks per unique user per article. After 10, the clicks don't count. The traffic number I gave is just the number they give me for my purposes so I don't know the actual number which would count what you're saying

No, this community is the most rewarding part of the job.

I would tell anyone who is interested in this blogging job for monetary reasons that they're barking up the wrong tree. You have to love writing about the Sabres.
