Still, moving Provorov right now makes zero sense for this team.
Which will be met by the response “what if the offer is too good to turn down?” Well if that’s the case l guess he’s not nearly as terrible as everyone thinks he is.
They need to add to this defense. And moving Provorov right now only creates a bigger hole. - hereticpride
It only makes sense if he DOESN'T want to be here...which is why this talk has started.

Multi-layered?
A testicular cruciate groin flexor?
I don't quite understand the mystery.
Do players hit/forecheck an opponent differently if they knew that player had a previous hip flexor injury versus a groin injury or ACL tear?
If the answer is no, why all the mystery?

Kemell or Jiricek is my pick in the draft.
One is a sniper the other a puck moving RD, either way it would fill a need.
Nemec seems like the safe pick for a defenseman but Jiricek seems more like the guy we missed out from colorado.
Kemell is a shooter, get him and we have a couple young shooters in the fold(forester). - Flyerloon
As well as Allison and Tippett being shoot-first wingers. |

This was the highest scoring NHL season in 3 decades, meanwhile the Flyers leading scorer had 52 points, and they averaged 2.57 goals per game. |

So straighten him out. It still makes no sense from a team standpoint to move one of the D men we have right now. - hereticpride What if he doesn't wanna be straightened out? Perhaps it's beyond repair. I didn't see in which context he made the statement. If he is just miffed at the state of the team that's fine, but if he's personally very unhappy(rumors that's the case) you may have no choice but to move him. |

Bill what do you think happens:
1. They approach Sanheim about an ext
or
2. They just look to trade him. |

If that Ellis media session wasn’t a dog and pony show I don’t know what is. - StepfordSam
I agree.
Did he ever pose for the team picture?
Yeah he wants to be here....
Count up all the core injuries and look for a reason. Its the result of something that happened during AV/Michel Therien's tenure with Yeo in tow.
He will be on LTIR first month of Tc/season and done

They'll seek an extension. 100%. Whether he wants that or prefers to wait and test the market, we will see. |

How much extra will now they have to pay after seeing the RR ext?
Assuming he wants to stay, what kind of deal do you see term and money wise? Thanks.

Ristolainen took a cap hit cut off his expiring deal ($5.4 M to $5.1M) for a longer term. It won't have any bearing on Sanheim negotiations. |

Can Fletcher really afford to assemble this team with the assumption that Ryan Ellis is going to play next season?
From a cap hit perspective I don’t know how he won’t. The state of this team right now, I can only imagine that next year will be similar to this year but with hopes of the young guys taking the next step. |

I want to say that Bill wrote the other day that if Seattle takes 3 of a possible 4pts in their last two games that we would move into the 3rd spot. I might be wrong |

RR was always going to take a pay cut not matter where he ended up. Chuck over payed in term and money. Dont try to say that was a good deal
It will have some bearing as Sanheim is head and shoulders better than RR. How much bearing we shall see.
Anyway will he get over 6 million per in your opinon?

Seattle has to win to get a point against Winnipeg. They have more regulation wins than the Flyers. |

That’s actually not correct. 100% team salary and cap hits absolutely are a factor in agent’s negotiations for their clients. As is other players around the league. The agent wouldn’t be worth a grain of salt if he didn’t use everything at his disposal to get as much as he can for his client. |

Seattle needs just a point. They have the tie breaker, 23 RW to 20. |

That’s what I thought but Bill is saying they need a win if I’m understanding his post correctly. |

I dont know but im fairly confident that they just need an OTL\SOL minimum to pass PHI.
