That guy was smart enough to know that Makar wouldn't be available when the Canucks picked.

Nighthawk was extremely high on him very early in his draft season.

- Reubenkincade

So clearly it wasn't nighthawk.

I was joking knowing your affinity to a particular style of dman.

The evidence is often presented for all to see

I was reading an article today and Will Scouch was going on about untapped numbers inside midget defensemen that the NHL is overlooking and not drafting in the first round.

I forgot about the Avs trading for Lehkonen and Cogliano, some pretty good depth players.

I think Dallas is going to have a tough time winning 1 game. Only team in playoffs with a negative goal differential.
- Reubenkincade

And their goaltending has been in over their head all season. At least if it was Holtby you would have the “he’s been there before” factor.

I’m stuck between two worlds. If I was a GM and had to choose between two dmen to draft I think I would go with the guy with size. I need to grow out of that old mindset.

I'm watching the Flames game. Don't care who wins, it's already been worth it watching Tkachuk get filled in by Raffl.

Yeah, this game is fun.

How come cable companies never figured out the PIP function? I’m not about to drag the bedroom TV out to the living room so I can watch both games at once (or all three)

Most smaller defenders are the same sort of offensive D. Still need guys that will and can defend. Usually done much better by taller defensemen.

Hopefully Abbotsford comes out for the 2nd period.

Outshoot 20-7 in the first.

Edit: @1970vintage:

The NHL App on Apple TV is great for this. Was updated this season, but you need to subscribe to the streaming package.

I've got two games going side-by-side, then the live scores of the other game(s) at the bottom of the screen. And can switch with a click.

Only issue is that it doesn't work for regional broadcasts. So I couldn't use it in-season if I wanted to watch the Canucks game & something else at the same time.

Unrelated — scoreless between Abby & Bakersfield after one period...

Wow, Louis has to come in for DeSmith. Yikes for Pitt. Better score quickly.

Thanks. Yeah, I just remember when the TV was capable of displaying two channels at the same time, but it seems that since things went digital they can’t (or won’t) do that anymore.

Yeah, me too. I used that feature a ton back in the analog days. This is the best approximation I've come across in recent years.

I'm rocking my phone and laptop. Keep changing the game that's casting to the TV depending on what's going on.

It's been great but

First OT 5v5
Second OT 4v4
Third OT 3v3

That's got to be post number 5 at least for Pitt.

I’m trying to watch the Flames game but having a hard time stomaching it. Not a fan of Rick Ball and the Saddle Dome has to be the most quiet arena in the entire NHL. Flames fan understand it’s the playoffs right?

Remember all the Hughes or Makar talk? That was cute.
