The second period killed us last game. Tonight we regrouped after the first and came out strong in the second. - Fenrir Definitely a complete reversal. Don't watch your games a ton, but Panarin isn't 100% is he? |

Huge win. I’d bet it comes out after the playoffs are over Goodrow has a broken bone in his foot. With how he was limping after game 1 and now being week to week I’d bet the earliest we see him is sometime in the conference finals.
Regarding Carter and Shesty, Carter knew what he was doing and anyone suggesting Shesty initiated any sort of contact up 5-2 with 2 minutes left is insane. Did he sell it a little? Maybe. I don’t want any players to get hurt, thought it sucked when Rakell got knocked out in game 1. The pens are getting frustrated and if this is the cheap shot style of hockey they want to play going after Shesty then Reaves Hunt and Rooney need to put a bullseye on Crybaby’s back and hit him the same way over and over and over again. Let’s get back to hockey as it’s been a relatively clean series, no need for the cheap stuff. |

I thought it was gamesmanship on both their parts. It was a bump to let Shesterkin know he was there and Shesterkin made sure it was noticed and it basically ended the game right there.

the Goodrow injury is a killer, playoffs are the whole reason we signed him in first place, but we just move on and make do, they have injuries too (poetry)
this is why when someone in January says "I'll think the Rangers will probably win a round and that's it" my eyes always roll
it's always such a dumb thing to say, the playoffs are such an assault on these players physically, you never know what teams will have the healthiest players by the time the next round starts, all bets are off
thankfully Drury added all the depth at the deadline, and hopefully Motte is ready sooner rather than later |

One thing can’t be disputed: The Rangers we’re good all season long. And Hunt was in the lineup all season long.
Probably correlation over causation.
Hunt had a good game last night. Goodrow is obviously preferred. |

Hunt was solid, no doubt
biggest problem we have is Crosby-Guentzel eating the kid line alive |

Anyone go into the Pens blog after last game and comment? Or talk trash ? - Rangers99
I was in there quite a bit before game one. Started off rather civil, until FedsStammer showed up. |

Nice win tonight. Young legs made a huge difference tonight, especially in the 2nd. Too many shifts we got pinned for 2 minutes and we're just too old for that. - Pags

Honestly i think that line is just eating everyone alive. I think the kids were only on ice for one goal against, which was OT against Malkin? Definitely don't match up well against the Crosby line, but they're schooling everyone.
Gallant for sure doesn't trust them though - i think they had similar ice time to the 4th line last night. |

the best 3 players in the series so far are without doubt Shesterkin, Crosby and Guentzel
nobody else is even remotely close to the 3 of them thus far |

Panarin looks completely pedestrian. I know he is making plays but god damn he looks off. He is not smiling much either. I wonder if his injury or whatever is really cramping his style? |

I havent checked but what's funny about Tom, if I look at his tweets, he seems to be pro-Ranger a lot of the time, but then if I engage him, suddenly he turns into a total Ranger hater, simply because he knows how much I love this team to get under my skin
it's a weird dynamic me and him have

Hey, I can be nice,... unless provoked.
Plus, I don't hate Crosby like all of you guys. It's Letang I've had a serious hatred for since he gave one of our guys a baseball swing-like high stick years ago. I think it was Betts, can't remember. I was more offering opinions in answer to some of the questions they had about our line up. |
