Reaves needs to send Crosby down like this a few times. I don't think he will catch him in a spot like that though.

He has been awful per bread standards but had 3 pts.... I think he becomes a beast on the road.
- disorca

Yeah, I know he has some points but I do agree. He has to breakout and a good time to do so would be on the road for game 3.

Nope. I was trying to think of big hits that involved Crosby, there aren't many. I think Giroux caught him in the playoffs one time

The thing about Crosby besides his insane talent with the puck is just how strong he is on his skates. When Trouba stood him up in the 1st, most players would have been flat on their ass.

I guess that is why everyone is stick checking him. They can't seem to get the body on him or are afraid to get roasted and let him in all alone.

That's how you play Malkin. He got all sulky and ended up in the box last night. You can't do that with Crosby. He might whine to the refs when he goes back to the bench, but then he just comes back out determined to make sure you lose. We should try putting Rooney in his back pocket, a la Tikkanen.

I thought Bread was noticeably better last night. Still not at his peak, but he was way more dynamic and had some zip on some cross-ice passes that wasn't there in game 1.

I bet Zib could lay him out. Trouba might be able to as well. He's caught some guys.

He did also take a hard one-timer. Maybe he is slowly getting the confidence that he can do those things without aggravating the injury.

Interesting. I just checked to see what he did in that game after getting blown up like that and he actually had 0 points and a -3.

Apparently he has been either on or off in some playoff series/years. He is definitely on right now and I don't think he will cool off.

Trouba hit him last night and he didnt go down. Its probably the best you could hope for with Crosby, hit him hard enough to just separate him from the puck.

I didn't read back, and i don't care if I take flak for it, but yes there was contact with Shesty from Carter (yes the rangers were right to go after him), but holy hell Shesty acts like hes shot when he gets touched.

I've noticed that with Shesty, there is legitimate contact but he definitely sells it.

No I think Shesty legitimately gets hit, he definitely sells it. Kind of like Brodeur used too.

I think most goalies do.
