You speak about him like he's guaranteed a roster spot. You want to know how the young guys get a chance? Injuries. They happen every year, not to the extent we faced but they happen and young guys always get a shot.
Ghost earned a spot on the Flyers when he was called up due to an injury, Same with York
You listed a bunch of players but that means nothing.
1) There is no rush in getting the young players up. It doesnt hurt them to play in the AHL a little longer unless they are absolutely dominating and there is no way for them to improve their game
2) The roster isnt set in stone. We have no idea who will still be here come training camp. Hell if Ellis isnt progressing as expected, that can change the entire direction this team takes.
3) MacEwen could get signed, doesnt matter. It could be a two way contract or 13th forward type deal. Getting signed isnt a guaranteed spot either. - xShoot4WarAmpsx
was responding to the other person post that vet depth players are not needed at this time. Injuries have nothing to do with it. Get with the program home slice
What would you like to bet fan favorite hard skating hustling Zac mac is re-signed to be on the flyers roster?

Nah, what you said is that he not going to be a regular NHL player period. Another in a long line of emotional, poorly thought out and uninformed opinions. Another example is the long line of posts claiming that Sanheim also sucks. And on and on. - MJL
At the time I posted Sanheim sucked .. he did suck! He played better once AV was fired but lets not anoint Sanheim as some great defenseman all of sudden. You can spread all the disinformation that you want, but I know what I posted about Frost. BTW, all I am suggesting here is that Frost be given a fair chance. I am still no fan of Morgan Frost. |

That is another league bottom feeder roster. - PLindbergh31
I don't think so. This roster with a good coach will be a bubble team at best next season, but not a bottom feeder. Of course, nothing wrong with the Flyers getting another top 10 pick in a deep 2023 draft. This thing is not going to turn around over night, but the Flyers this draft and next will be able to get two potential top end players if they remain patient this off season, and that will be heading in the right direction. |

It still sucks they have no second round picks the next two drafts.

No, he didn't suck. Another in a long list of uninformed hyperbole. Who exactly is anointing Sanheim as a great defenseman? More hyperbole. There is no disinformation being spread. The fact that you aren't a fan of Frost bodes well for his future.

They do not in any way need to sign any depth forwards. NOne. Zero. Zilch. Squat.
If internal players cant cut it then you address at that time. Vets are avaiable 24/7.
Nor do they need vet goalie if they get Fedotov to come over. - hello it's me 2050
Address it how? Any vets that are left are bottom of the barrel. You sign depth to two way contracts or as an extra forward or PTO as insurance. You see what the young guys have at camp and if it doesnt work out you have backups. If that changes over the course of the season you simple call them up and scratch the vet or send them down.

Should we review your posts about where you have to pick to get top end players? Or how about your posts that repeatedly stated it's okay to give up a middle to late first pick because those players don't tend to be top end players? So if the Flyers pick middle to late in the first round in 23 if they're going to be a bubble team, how are they potentially getting a top end player?
