Reinhart >> Tuch

Reinhart barely worth a first but Tuch is a bonafide 1st round asset

HB logic

- sbroads24

I'd take Tuch over Rhino all day long but that's just me. Both are easily worth first rounders (++).

Youd take the 55 point winger over the 70 point winger who can easily play center and has been a better play driver? Ok

It's the way he bats his eyelashes and touches his face like a primadonna and laughs.

Plus he didn't sign something for Boss, I think.

Try 80 point winger. Sam was excellent this year. The trade stings, what do you want us to do? Cry about it for the next 7 years like you did about Myers or move on?

So we also should move on about Eichel no?
OR is that fair game because we can make fun of his team missing the playoffs.

Sure would.

1) Sam showed that - in a small sample size - he can play center. He is not a 1C by any stretch of the imagination.
2) Tuch is a top-line winger that can play in all situations
3) Sam is limited based on his skating. He makes up for some of that with Hockey IQ.
4) Your point totals are not apples-to-apples based on the teams.
5) This team changed noticeably when Tuch came into the lineup.

While 23 was never my favorite player he is definitely a very good player in this league. But in my mind he will always be a top complimentary player.

Sometimes what a player brings to the team other than just points matter's. And this could be it. Even though I wish we had both.

The 55 pt player is also more physical and more defensively sound

Depends what kind of player you want.

Points ain't everything

Alex Tuch: 2014 MIN, 1st rd, 18th pk (18th overall)

Payton Krebs: 2019 VGK, 1st rd, 17th pk (17th overall)

Am I missing something?

This also coincided with

Dahlin exploding
Samuelsson being added
Olofsson getting healthy
Anderson getting healthy
Mittelstadt getting healthy

Crediting all that to Tuch is insane

Also, we did most of our “winning” when Tuch slowed down and went back to being a .65 PPG player the last 25 games

Olofsson was not "getting healthy" when tuch came back... He lost his wrist when Tuch came back

And Mitts was not healthy ALL year

Just because a player was drafted in the first round does not make them worth a first in a trade.

Would you trade a first for Thomas Harley? He went one pick after Krebs.

Yet Tuch and Krebs can play. The players you are mentioning are not on the same level.

a 21 year old putting up .5ppg is definitely worth 1st

So Olofsson being completely on fire the last 30 games didn’t contribute to wins?

It was all Tuch? That’s just bonkers dude

So first, "they were drafted in the first so they're worth a first" now it's "well not THAT guy"

Yakupov was the 1OA! JFC

Would you trade a first for Lafreniere or Kakko? (frank) no.

When Tuch entered the line up the team changed... the team didn't change 30 games later when Oloffson got healthy... The culture of the team turned the corner the same time Tuch got into the line up. Just before that actually when he was around the room you could tell a change was coming.

Yeah I don’t buy it really.

I think him being good helped the forwards a lot as they were missing his type of talent.

I think the culture was well on its way and I think Granato deserves 90% of the credit for that
