flip side

if tage does not turn the corner this year, there is no great season for tage, tuch and skinner and with no number 1 line, also a bottom 3 pick

- homiedclown

With Mitts out and no Krebs, we're looking at 1C Cozens and no clue who else even fills in. Strong case for Tage.

It's him or Dahlin.

Good points,

Anderson 17-12
Dell 1-8-1

That's pretty much the bottom line of winning and losing this season IMO. Goaltending this season.

All 4 guys tuch, tage and dahlin really played well, especially since the eichel game.

Anderson was really steady the entire season.
Ruling out dahlin for the 1st half
Tuch being injured the 1st half
Tage steady all season as well

The real MVP isn't a player at all, rather Donnie "The Don" Meatball Granato.

Hard to disagree with tage and putting up one of the best seasons by a Sabres center in team history.

Dahlin though was very inconsistent for the first 40+ games. Maybe the 2nd half .....

Tough spot for r2 , lots of forwards fighting for a few spots with the Sabres.

Seams like a good fit for Arizona

2022 lottery protected 1st
R2
Johnson

For Arizona's 2022 lottery protected.

Basically move from pick 9 to

Pick 3 or 4 (if the Sabres really like a guy)

Pick 1 or 2 would most likely be unavailable (as well as my proposal)

- Boss34

Adam's should be taking notes from Beaner.

Move from 9 to 3 (Seattle) and grab 1 of Cooley or Slafkovsky.
Would take 9, FL-1st + Prospect...give them The fake Selke

For sure.
I throw out his year 1 when evaluating him.
Been pretty good thereafter.
The 3 college kids could turn that back the other way however.
.
.
Maybe I would sweeten my trade-up to 3 by including 9, FL-1st and Johnson.

What would be Seattles motivation for moving back to 9 though ?

According to 🌮, KA was sleeping in Beane's office this offseason

I'd love for the Sabres to move up/down and get "their guy", similar to my predraft prediction of drafting cooks in the 3rd round. (He went 2 picks earlier, end of the 2nd)

So your thinking 9OA, fla (1st) and Larry selke?

I'm thinking 9OA, johnson rights and r2.
You're probably closer on value ☝️

It’s another wrinkle in the “tank” conversation.

The reality is top 5 picks hardly get traded, especially to move back.

So if you want one, you need to lose to secure one or hope you win the lotto.

Is there a scenario that Seattle would move back to 9 ? Probably.

It would take a gross overpayment though and it wouldn’t be in the Sabres best interest to do so

We're getting close to agreeing on a trade.

I'm gonna give you 9OA. Fla 1st and choice of Johnson's rights or r2's rights.

Larry selke fits the swedes are " friends to dahlin, please stay in buffalo Rasmus" pitch that's about to go down after this season, would be year 2 of 3 already.....

That's pretty realistic. but I'm not giving up on Casey yet.

He was our #1C heading into the preseason.

I'd trade mitts at the deadline for a playoff push if he stays inconsistent and injury prone.

But I'd really like to see a little more from him and larry selke.

3 pieces argument from yesterday I guess.

2 main pieces (1st rounders) and a throw in r2 or Johnson.

Johnson's value is a late 2nd right?
R2 probably had little value, but if he keeps up his ahl scoring in the playoffs.....

Sabres perspective, giving up no real assets to move up and take a guy they love.

I hate adding any real nhl players yet...

9,16 and 20 something gets you to pick 5?

What's your guess?

A team like Seattle or arizona would have room for a r2?

What's r2's value?

IMO you have to add more then pick 9, a late first and a few losing scratch off lottery tickets to get pick 3

It would require an overpmt..and I like your thoughts on Johnson...
But probably 9th, FL-1st, Johnson ...throw in R2D2 as well.he isn't of any significant value here

According to the Draft Value Charts it would be
9th & 22nd.
But a solid over payment would be req'd ...so maybe more like
9th & 15th & 32nd

If you go with 9th + 32nd, then Seattle needs a ready player...so...??
