Gotta weigh the teams overall development:

How much does winning in the ahl transfer to winning in the nhl for krebs, fitz, samuelsson, peterka and quinn.

Vs.

Just upl's development

If upl flops over dell, gotta think he still has a spot with the Sabres next year right? Starter or bench?

- Boss34

Winning over UPLs development.

UPL had all season to develop and gain experience.

The Amerks winning takes priority over UPL dealing with pressure. If Dell struggles or gets dinged up the opportunities will be there. Winning fixes lots of things, let them all learn to win under pressure.

Just read that too.
Rather damning on 6K.
Hopefully he can play in this series so Adam's can have an evaluation.

Meh.

Now, Dell was fantastic in that OT the other night, so don't get me wrong.

The thing about the playoffs is that every big save, hit or blocked shot is so exaggerated in the minds of hockey fans. Anyone can get hot at the right time. Some dude who generally blows can make a few big hits, and score the go-ahead goal in a game and all of the sudden he's incredible, especially at the suggestion of the play by play man.

Jordan Nolan and Dwight King, come on DOWWWNNN!

Welcome to the real price of having an NFL team. This isn’t anything new in the NFL world.

I can’t afford seasons but I’m just saying that this is unfortunately the business of the NFL and what most cities are currently dealing with

- Sabretooth9

I live in Florida, so it doesn't impact me so I don't have a dog in the fight.
I'm just saying wow to paying $550 per game AND having to pay PSL's which theoretically goes to paying for Pegula's portion of the Stadium.

Agreed that is the decision point, value in development of others vs just 6K.

It isnt an absolute that 6K is a Sabre.

KA could involve him as part of a package to get a bonafide starter...doesnt seem like that is his current path but that could change if KA decides he isn't part of the equation.
THAT, IMO is the $64m question. Would KA change his mind if 6K poop the bed?

There is no reason to think that the Amerks are better off with Dell in net. UPL should play when healthy because he is the prospect and the better goalie.

There certainly is the 1 time great play aspect.

Much different if the higher level of play is sustained for a single player during the PO's though, right? I mean, that is what GM's look for.

I can certainly appreciate the player that elevates his play during this stretch. Just that the assumption by the writer that UPL wouldn't have is just that. I mean, ffs, I would hope that Dell would play phenomenal in a "lesser league" after 126 games in the NHL. He's had enough time to hone his craft 🤣

"Seemingly every Sabres player on the roster, no matter their experience, improved under Granato and his staff. And coupled with what occurred off the ice, a bond that Dahlin referred to as a brotherhood, the franchise finally has a foundation in place that’s necessary for winning."

it would appear that this season's goals have been met. I don't remember the last time I said that.

We are in a very good spot right now, next few years will be exciting, even if it’s not as early as next season that some may be hoping for.

Now, keep adding talent. Take the next step, then the next one, then the next one. But for Geordie Robertson's sake, stay the effin' course for once. See it through.

Yeah, I won't be getting my 4 tickets. 2 PSL's are gonna cost what 4 season tickets would have cost, and then add 2 season's. If nothing changes about 6 grand for 2 seats.

Are PSLs a one time payment or do you have to pay it every season?

If KA doesn't drastically change this team into a Stanley cup contender, he should be fired.

Just read Tim Grahams article on the Bill's Survey about seat prices and PSL.
Those prices seem absolutely nuts to me.

Lower level seating between 40 & 25 yard line without much in the way of amenities like Cover and Heat at a per ticket price of $550 per game ($4,500 annually, for 8 games). + PSL.
Wow.

- IonSabres

HOLY S, that is for the prime seats though. Did he give any indication what tickets would cost in the lower end zone where the peasants like me will sit on occasion?

Laaksonen didn't play in game 2 but 7 total defensemen did.

Healthy scratch or injured/illness?

D Oskari Laaksonen is scratched for the Amerks. Not sure if he's injured or healthy.
