Sure. I just think the effect is easy to exaggerate. Average goal scoring would have had almost the same effect. Granted, you could see them improve offensively late in the season, where as there's no reason to expect any improvement out of Anderson or Tokarski.

Not according to lacaprup. With Kane on the team, Skinner, Thompson, VO and Tuch will be light years ahead of where they were last season.

Now if the market for wingers is like last year, I think Kane would equal Reinhart's return. Late 1st, prospect. High cap 1 year rental. Clearly more skilled than Sam, but his contract and age depreciate his value more.

I've been a champion of 'look at this team from 3/1 on', but I still don't think we can compete with the top 6-8 teams in the league.

I think that comes with the eventual/upward development of the young guys and smart adds. I don't think that comes with adding Kane and a D and a G, alone, next season.

If he's signing an extension, I'm jumping at the opportunity.

#1, YES, with Kane on the Sabres and a real G, this team is easily 3 pts better a month and that would put us in the playoffs or damn near next year

#2, I don't see why he would not want to resign. We have the $$ and it would be cool for him to help us win, he would be a god here.

#3, is a loaded question. Any team can win with a hot goalie at the right time. So yes I guess...
