Well he said he hasn't signed anything overseas yet - Buff36
Sure, but the same guys that left him in Roch are still running the team. |

I can't see how he would trust the organization to give him a fair shake. If they wouldn't give him an extended look over some of the stiffs they have had here then they surely won't next year when we have more options. - Slump Buster
Didn't look like it helped that they were intent on having Ruotsalainen play Center during camp and the preseason. |

So I hate being the once saying this “I went to the America game” guy
But holy cow the game day experience….. not even the game. The game day experience the music choices, the dj, the funny memes, and etc
It blows away the Sabres game day experience. They did such a nice job. |

The AHL is a funny funny game. You see so many mistakes, funky plays, and it makes it fun but drives you crazy
Like Casey Fitzgerald makes the same mistakes as he does at the nhl level. Some random grinders battling.
The 2nd or 3 Utica goal was a mess and kicked in by Quinn.
Each team had horrible goaltending
The few players with skill like JJ R2D2 and Quinn are very easy to pick out vs the AHL lifers no names
Overall fun game to go to on a Sunday at 5 pm |

The Sabres game day experience has been terrible since they opened Marine Midland Arena, honestly. It's never been good. |

I've met and worked with their "senior graphic designer" in the past, as well as one of their media engineers, and believe me when I say, there's nothing but a bunch of unoriginal clowns working in their Media and Game-Day presentation departments. |

They were truly insufferable people, the two I'm referring to. I told them off pretty hard and they were flabbergasted that someone had the balls to stand up to them.
I was on here almost two full years before the ship started leaking telling all of you what a completely toxic environment it was at the Harbor Center and Arena and my experience with those two as well as some of their fellow peers and associates was a large part of how I knew what was going on in a place I honestly have never even stepped foot in.
It hasn't changed. Just the locker room, but that's the most important part really.
Buffalo is a weird town. It's not a merit based culture, it's completely based off of connections and schmoozing. It's sad how people climb all over each other to get to the few open positions in places like Harbor Center/Key Bank Center, Town Ballroom (don't even get me started on that place) and some of the other venues and establishments in the city.
It's not even nepotism. It's just a gross and toxic association of people who gate-keep the "culture" of Buffalo but when it boils down to it, the music scene is absolute garbage, the culture is 100% centered around drinking and the arts scene is just a bunch of suburban, middle-class jerk-offs who moved to the city and pretend to be bohemian.
They literally will terrorize and bully anyone original because they're so afraid of losing their associations and cliques. |

None of that means anything to me personally
I go for the game action
I could just care less about that stuff |

Yeah, that is pretty terrible and sad. Definitely agree about the connections part. My buddy who used to work for the bills. He hated it too and moved to Denver and work for the broncos. |

I'm currently in a city that has absolutely no culture, so I'm not trying to say it's better anywhere else. Just different.
Columbus is a city so devoid of culture that it actually revels in it. They literally write articles in their local papers about how Columbus's culture is not having a culture and that's what makes it so great. It's beyond ridiculous how proud they are of being one of the fattest, most generic places in the country.
Everyone in this town who is from this town is a rude brute, everyone. They aren't happy, they don't appreciate the strong economy and job market, they don't deserve their disposable income and they don't try to be better. It's so unabashedly vanilla that it's an insult to vanilla. And it's too white.
It's a really green city, though. A lot of trees, a lot of parks and it's centrally located so you can go anywhere - Up to Chicago, Ann Arbor, over to Pittsburgh, a 4 and a half hour drive back to Buffalo... But it's such a square, jaded, boring and yuppie city. And it's grown so fast that the infrastructure surrounding it is terrible. It's either highway on top of highway and 90 mph straight line NASCAR racing or one alternative road to wherever you're going because it's all surrounded by farm land.
Actually, I remember a buddy of mine and I talking about how the North Towns of Buffalo are so weird and unlike the rest of Western New York and after living in Ohio, I finally understand why. They're all flat, rural poop-hole towns just like Ohio. |
