The group chats with my buddies tonight have really been something.

That video pretty much sums it up.

Evander Kane ices the game with an empty netter to force game 7. 7th goal of the series

I'll say it again. He has been a revelation in Edmonton.

What are you willing to pay or what chips would you use if you could add 1 of these players or would you not bother and move on.

I think we should trade for all these players, then trade them all to Chicago for Kane.

Fiala? Yes, please. Kid had a monster year. Be prepared to pay. But he only has one year left on his deal. Scared of that.

I think Crouse is a nice, realistic expectation and would help round out a top 9. Not sure what I'd give up and/or what they'd want.

Husso is intriguing. Product of a good team? Most likely. Late bloomer? The next Carter Hutton?

DK. Heck yeah, but what's Colorado's game plan if they lose him? Can they afford to lose him?

Nichushkin is better than Crouse in almost every way, plus he would cost nothing more than money as he's a UFA.

He'd be a great fit for the top 9. A Tuch clone, but better defensively.

Campbell is a UFA, right.... so he would be a target as he won't cost any assets. Love his story, and read that he is a great teammate so he would fit right into the locker room.

Crouse fits a need for a tough physical 3 LW. He shouldn't cost too much in trade return, but at the same time we'd be buying at his high point. As a RFA at soon to be 25, looks like his next contract buys several UFA years...not that the Sabres need to worry too much about his contract cost for a couple years.

Interesting with Debrincat and Fiala, as they are probably going to cost north of $8m. Investing in either one, to me means they are going to build another top line above Tage, so they would also need to bring in a top Center, like maybe Claude Giroux for 2 - 3 years. I don't see Cat as a target with Olo, Quinn & Tuch on the right.

isn't it so weird that Gretzky died so that Quinn could live, as he did?

I'd overpay on a 3 to 4 year deal, but it would mean needing to find space for him in the forward lineup, and there doesn't seem to be much of any interest in that from the Sabres.

Yes Campbell is a FA. And I like Crouse think he is a good fit. Just popped 20 this year, think Donnie could do wonders with him, plus some of the players he would be playing with.

Admittedly, I don't watch a lot of Avs games, but it would seem to me that he was invisible for the first six years of his career then suddenly had a career year on a Stanley Cup contender. That should be a big red flag (no pun intended), no?

Which of the 12 forwards (who is counting Bjork, really?) are you making space for in order to have a place for Crouse, or any forward you bring in?
