definitely similar but unlike Spilly Vanilly, Cook isn't afraid of going between the tackles.

it's funny that Spills was drafted 9th and Cook was 63rd.

Would you trade 16, Krebs and Rick the dog for Christian McCaffrey?

nah

cribbs went up the middle

had speed

went outside

caught a lot of passes

it's only hard to compare if you never saw said running back from the 80s

I'd think about it, but as long as this becomes the new Ennis, Weber and a 2nd, I'm happy.

yeah no I've only seen some video on him, considering how popular he was at the time.

I wouldn't call him a pass back, really. I mean he could catch. I'd rather call him Shady.

Watch Spillers college tape and then Watch Cook they are the same shifty back.

Hell they are even the same size at 5'11 200 lbs

Both great pass catchers.

Neither will be an inside guy in the NFL.

Physically similar, athletically similar, perform similarly on the field, I'd say their major difference is how they attack the LOS.

Spiller ran a lot up the middle in college.

A lot of zone runs as well.

Cook and Spiller both exceled at the zone stretch play to use their speed.

one of his biggest scouting knocks was him too often running to the perimeter, which we saw all too often. I hope Cook doesn't have too much of that.

Stretch/Zone runs and getting him to the outside was how they used him.
id say 90% of what Cook does is off tackle. No sound but good highlight package.

I like Cook (IM a UGA fan) but he's a perimeter style RB.[/img]

I never thought Spiller was very shifty.

He was straight line speed and bounced outside too much

Dalvin cook 5'10 210lbs
James cook 5'11 199 lbs

How about comparing these 2 guys....

I like the shady comparison...👍

ImThatGuy is going to say that Dalvin Cook ran between the tackles on every single run he ever attempted at FSU, whereas James only went outside the tackles.

Shady was also an outside RB I like that comparison.

but again none of those guys exceled between the tackles. None of those guys were put your head down and pick up 2-3 yard RBs.

Im not saying Cook will be bad, He wasn't used a lot in college so I have no idea what to expect of him.

Sabres should offer sheet Liljegren? Makes some sense. This collaboration brought 2 you by myself and @VonsabreC

Here’s the best part:

You can do 2x4.0, limit long term risk.
Toronto can’t match. And we get to reevaluate in 2 years because he’s still RFA.

Two year rental for a 2nd rounder that could off pay of x times over

I agree, and it's kinda hard to put a finger on Singletary.

I'm assuming the Bill's like the thunder and lightning approach. 1 guys brings break away speed, the other power for short yardage.

The fact that Singletary isnt a speed guy, makes me feel like cook will be that guy.

Cook seems to be replacing bee dee's guy zack moss
Short yardage/ goal line / inside guy IMO
