Yeah, I’m sure. Seemed like a great game
I wasn’t trying to imply anything, just curious to me what some people are wanting when they go see a game

- jdfitz77

When I am going to games ……. What’s on the ice is number 1. Like later in this past season, games were enjoyable to watch from mid February on, on tv or I’m person. December was miserable.

But the game day music, presentation, and that stuff does matter. When you go to a bunch of Sabres games and you see the same old stuff. It gets boring and repetitive.

What Rochester did yesterday was above what the Sabres do for an experience.

I thought to myself. Win or lose amerks results wise. I was sure as heck was entertained and it was worth my money

Our society is being degenerated by design, have no doubt.

I like that song tho

Yeah Subban would be great for Rochester. Him and Tokarski should be there full time.

all im saying is that reading the tea leaves, at least when he was sent to rochester, that he wasn't perceived to be a useful player for the sabres this past season and he'd rather play in europe than rochester. So it appears to me that he'd be making some contract demands in his negotiations. if he signs, i'd be willing to bet he's a full time player next season. so, kevo needs to decide if he'd rather let him be here based on ability or to find someone more useful. bjork should be the 2nd backup F, if anything. he hoards a roster spot, it shouldnt be hard to get him out of here.

hopefully they learned from the pilut chaos

The problem is there isn't enough top 9 spots open. With Quinn and JJ coming up (most likely imo) R2 gets slotted on the 4th line and doesn't get the ice time to show what he can do.

Maybe bring R2 up at the beginning of next year (if he resign) for a 3rd line spot and then you can bring JJ or Quinn or both up when the injuries inevitably happen..

My gut feeling is that the Sabres grab one of Dallas's goalies
- chilliard77

Please, no.

Khudobin was awful when he played and is going to miss 6 months after having hip surgery in March.

Bishop retired.

I don't trust Holtby.

pilut is still not in the NHL. if he was good enough (or wanted to be here) he'd be on a different team.

He's got all offseason to get bigger. Why you so worried. He'll be 21 come training camp. Lotta growing still.

Was always fan of the Darcy reiger rule
120 ahl gp
So another half of season down on the farm

that's what happens when you sign a multi year overseas though

sabres f!d him over

called him up so he could not play in ahl all star game only to see in the presser

had him penciled in for their top 4 yet offered him cheap 2 way contract

This seems to be a reoccurring issue.

Terry got all the money in the world but wont pay a couple extra peanuts for players

No, you give him the spot. You let him work through any struggles he has up here. I don't need to see Anders Bjork in that spot because the kid didn't score for 6 games. Neither he nor Paterka should ever step foot in Roch again.
- Slump Buster

Hence why i said people need much lower expectations of him if he is in the NHL full time.

Players a bigger and faster in the NHL. Its a whole different league.

i agree with the bad handling. but i also think if he had trade value, he'd be sent somewhere else.

I hope Dell doesn't count. 🤮
- Powerslave

If dell wins the cup for Rochester or even makes a solid run, might be his Rochester/ buffalo 3rd goalie position.

I'd rather have subban, but just like peterka, Quinn and upl, r2.....

Prove your worth right now

If the Sabres wanted Pilut, he'd probably still be here, barring personal issues.

Pilut was an AHL and NHL tweener at best.

The AHL stats like what R2D2 is currently doing throw you off

Most AHL teams have 3,4, or maybe 5 Turku talented players on their roster. The rest are career AHL lifers you can’t name.

If you are one of those skilled players. It’s not hard to shine.

Casey Fitzgerald is a good example. What he did on the Sabres with some of his dumb passes and bonehead plays is not NHL defensemen level play

In the AHL, that is completely acceptable and normal. Weird random sloppy plays happen all the time.

R2D2 does deserve some NHL time. But the verdict is still out if he is any good

Pilut had some chances and did nothing with them

I don't think he is 1a or 1b quality, but as a backup to a strong starter he isn't horrible either.
Had a poopty season on NJ.

does not change what a piss poor job of asset management the sabres did with him

if you have him penciled in your top 4 nhl lineup, don't low ball him with a 2 way deal

and if he earns an ahl all star , call someone else up to sit in the presser
