Why did so many of you take it personally? I didn't mention a single one of you by name.

Makes you wonder, huh?

Thanks for proving my point, Guy.

- BeadyEyedDouche

it has zero affect on me. I am not taking anything personally.

You call it schmoozing and I call it building relationships.

It works, sorry if that upsets you.

This one is for the long-time members. Didn't we used to have a female or two in here 10+ years ago?

Sounds like you're guilty because you have the job a better man should have gotten because of your schmoozing. You clearly care, or you wouldn't have even responded. Funny, that.

Ah, yes - I do vaguely remember that. I don't recall there being nearly as much of this asinine bickering but maybe that's just selective memory.

It is very selective memory, especially seeing as Honk was one of the best at bickering herself.

I may be in the minority but if I am the Leaves I am not looking to make any major changes. If they could move Tavares for a goalie and top 4 D they would but that can't happen. I don't see them as chokers or anything like that - either team could have won this series. They aren't as deep as Tampa and I think that is ultimately what did them in.

One step at a time, Chill. Buffalo isn't a good place. I love it, it's where I'm from and I miss it but it's just simply not a good place. If people can schmooze their way into a good life up there, good for them. They get to enjoy it. But not everyone was born in a good household and had doors opened for them.

I've tried to move several times. I've lived in Binghamton, Charlotte and Pittsburgh as well as my current city, Columbus.

Loved Charlotte. It's gorgeous, it's big and it's right there in the middle between the North and South, with a lot of people from a lot of different places. But it's extremely expensive and the jobs do not pay well enough for a working-class guy like myself.

Pittsburgh is also a gorgeous city. It's not too expensive, but the jobs also do not pay very well and it's not a convenient city to live in. The infrastructure can hardly support the population. It's worse than Columbus, honestly. But it's a cool town with great food and a lot of cool landmarks and places to visit. It actually has a history and it actually has a culture.

Binghamton... Well, the guy who just shot up Buffalo is from a small town just South of Bingo and that town, Conklin, is 100% Binghamton culture. It's the dirty South of New York. It's Pennsyltucky. He bought his guns from Endicott, where IBM used to be headquartered. I went to a bazaar in Endicott when I lived there. It was all Confederate Flags, guns, lawn jockeys and rednecks. I literally felt more unsafe there than any other bazaar I've been to, and I've been to third world bazaars in Turkey. But Binghamton is a special kind of awful. It's the most run down, jobless, economically depressed place I have ever been to, and I've been to Niagara Falls a lot so that's saying something. It was Trump Land before Trump happened. It's a racist, bitter, depressed poop-hole.

It's sad. Binghamton University used to be a Communist/Leftist stronghold in the 1960's. It used to be a very affluent place, actually. But all the industry up and moved all at once, and the town died a horrible death and the people become less than degenerate. I'll put it this way - I was working down there right before I moved back to WNY and a co-worker asked me what I thought of Binghamton. After living there for about 3 years, I said I didn't want to offend him but it's kind of the arm-pit of the Northeast. He shook his head and said "You're wrong... It's the bumhole of the UNIVERSE" and we laughed but he said "I know my hometown, believe me, it isn't good for anyone."

We live in a society of pathological liars. They don't like when you tell them the truth. They think you're being bitter or scorned, but I'm just one of the most brutally honest people you will ever encounter, really. Reality makes people upset and when you tell them the place they love sucks, they internalize it because they're insecure and devoid of personality. They build their whole lives and personalities off the town they're from, and it's really sad.

For what it's worth, I do plan on making it to Chicago within the next year or two. Columbus is a great stepping stone, really. It has a booming economy, it has a low cost of living and the jobs pay very well. It's a great place for a young professional and it's a good place for a working-class chum like myself to get on their feet. But it is not a blue-collar city by any means, and it grew up a little too fast.

Not everyone has a support network. Not everyone grew up in a good home. Some people have to claw their way up a small set of stairs. And not everything works out the way you want when you're truly on your own. Maybe I am bitter. But so is grapefruit. I'd rather be a grapefruit than a rotten apple like some people.

I doubt Tavares waives to be moved so if they move a piece it would be nylander by default

experience IMO played a big part in deciding who won

there is a reason why the bolts have won 9 straight series and the leafs have lost their last 8 series

if the asinine bickering was a category 4, several years ago on this site, it is now a category 2,143,364

it's behind brutal many days and has turned into personal attacks

When I am going to games ……. What’s on the ice is number 1. Like later in this past season, games were enjoyable to watch from mid February on, on tv or I’m person. December was miserable.

But the game day music, presentation, and that stuff does matter. When you go to a bunch of Sabres games and you see the same old stuff. It gets boring and repetitive.

What Rochester did yesterday was above what the Sabres do for an experience.

I thought to myself. Win or lose amerks results wise. I was sure as heck was entertained and it was worth my money

- Sabretooth9

But were u “entertained” bc of the music, etc
Or bc it was a good game?

Again, not telling u what to care about,
that stuff just doesn’t matter at all to me

I think in year's past they did have some level of choke but I think you have to look at this year differently. While what their coach said after the game (that Tampa respected them more than other teams did in previous years) sounded like a moral victory I think what he really meant was correct: they could have (and maybe should have) very easily won that series.

Yeah, I think it would have to be Nylander. That would suck for them because he is actually on a pretty decent contract.

I am not from Lockport moron. You and Fitz clearly bang.
- BeadyEyedDouche

The reason u don’t have any friends in real life might just be bc u think nowhere is good enough & no one is cool enough

It’s not “maybe”
You are very bitter dude
U even talk sh!t about this website….
yet you’re on here EVERY Fri & Sat night, looking for “friends” to talk to

I'd actually like to see a game where they had no game presentation and they just let the fans make noise. I hate being told when to clap or seeing video of fans on the jumbotron.

Completely agree with the not choking part. They lost a good 7 game series vs a 2 time stanley cup champs.

Probably need to change the goalie to keep the fans happy. Campbell was hot and cold.

It interesting to see what different fans look for when they go to a game
For me personally, i just care about my team winning- or it at least being a game we were competitive in

Whether or not the crowd gets into the “Cotteneyed Joe” song or it’s a bobble head giveaway night….
Idk, i just don’t care at all about that kind of stuff

To each their own
That stuff just never mattered to me

I think that's where they are going to run into problems. Campbell only made 1.6 this year and I believe the cap is relatively flat. They also need help in other areas.

I think you mentioned changing nylander too?

Probably need to make that change to bring in some talent.

I really can't see changing jt, 34 mustache or marner.

These curse / draught things probably take their toll 😀
