The leafs are built pretty well, they have elite offensive players and added grit. I could see them come out of the east if they get by tampa. Personally I'd like to see Florida do it - Upstate_isles
Florida has greatly disappointed in the first round so far, even with a series lead |

Sure if they win game 7. With that said they’re also playing a depleted, under performing Lightning team. I think there will be some changes 100% of they don’t make it past the lightning. Im not saying they’re trading Matthews and Marner but I can see Nylander going and some other assorted players. Maybe Dubas/Keefe also. They won’t stand pat imo. Not a chance. - Cptmjl
Changes, maybe. But I don't think you're going to see Shanahan/Dubas/Keefe shown the door. |

I can see Keefe getting canned by dubas in an attempt to save his own arse. I completely disagree with you and Friedman on this one. Nobody in Toronto would look at it like, “well it’s Tampa so we tried real hard but it’s Tampa so we didn’t win.” Nobody
Hopefully we find out |

Lesser of two evils kind of situation… - Cptmjl
Shanny seems very overrated to me. Why does he keep getting passes?

Like I said, if the Leafs lose this round someone will be paying the price imo. There’s a zero % chance the management team/coaching staff makes it out of a first round loss unscathed. |

No argument that it'd be a failure, but blowing things up isn't always the answer. No guarantee that anyone out there to fill an open role is going to do a better job. - eichiefs9
I never said that things would be blown up, simply that I think it'd be a failure if they didn't make the final round. |

I don't think the rivers would run red with upper management blood, but Dubas, Shanny & Keefe would at least be on a very, very hot seat. |

One of them will get the ax if they don’t make it out of the first round. If someone doesn’t the fanbase will lose their collective minds. |
