I will be getting some interesting numbers from a friends kid, who is in data and marketing at UBC. She has been tracking some Canucks, the last 2 seasons, at home games, for certain things, like turnovers leading to goals or lengthy possession for other teams, scoring chances because of blown coverage, poor line change and a few other interesting stats.
All she said was it doesn't look good for Miller, Pouty and Hughes, with Horvat, followed by OEL being at the top of list.
Edit; I meant to add, the Canucks are at 56.1% winning record under Boudreau, not sure that would be good enough, but hey, nice not having Green,Baumgartner and Benning around. |

Awesome, what everyone really really wants, more irrelevant stats that show negatively on the Canucks.
Personally I was very, very pleased with the change from Green to Boudreau, and how the team played from Dec. 06th on. Yes they had a few poor performances but there isn't a team in any sport that plays excellent every game for 82 games or 57 in Boudreaus case. Looking forward to a full year of Boudreau, but I'm sure there are tons of irrelevant stats that can be negatively placed on Bouds.
Bring on the stats that show how bad the team is, maybe there is one for the percentage of time Miller looked pissed at teammates or how many times fans blame Myers for unrealistic expectations. How many times the players changed lines through the door or over the side...now these would be ground breaking.

😂😂
I too don’t see the point of many stats. Whoever needs stats cannot see the obvious. That is the cap needs to be realigned & the D more mobility & size & break out skills. Team D is the most urgent priority & a full camp & offseason without Green/Baumer is a bonus. |

Advanced Stats

Being disgusted by stats, advanced or otherwise is as bad as being disgusted by the eye test. Either way is moronic. |

My view on advanced stats is it’s simply more info. The eye test will always be my go to. There are far too many on/off ice circumstances that cold stats cannot be truly accountable for. They can help make tough decisions if a deciding factor(s) is needed to make a choice. That is as far as I’d use them for. In house scouting & interviews better define a players skills & character. That may explain why so many later picks can excel & prosper & slip through cracks. Eg Luc Robitaille etc. |

Thought that might get a rise out of some people, didn't expect you to be leading the charge, but these stats show Hughes in a bad light so ya, I get it now.😁
Also, the bolded, you forgot to add King, just before Canucks. |

It's real easy to find stats that don't paint a pretty picture if you want to be right that the team should have drafted Rasmussen and Zadina instead of Petey and hughes. |

It's real easy to know if a call on the ice is good or not without even watching the game. |

question is how will the players feel about it, certainly would be awkward. |

They shouldn’t, St Louis is a well balanced team, great defence and lots of weapons up front, better goaltender. Sounds about normal to me. |

It’s time for everyone to start cheering for those Canadian teams, screw Tampa, LA, Dallas. Who didn’t cheer for the Habs 2021, Canucks in 2011? Sens in 2007, Oilers 2006, Flames in 2004.
Real Canadians cheer on their teams!

Canada is made up of several different countries, or it should be….(frank) the Flames, Leafs and Oilers. |
