Tampa looked very tired towards the end there and Toronto was all over them for a large portion of the OT.

If Tampa can pot that 1st goal....we may see another epic collapse....0-8 in elimination games, haven't won a series since 99, possible major shakeup brewing....and they have Campbell vs an all world goalie.

That eastern conference is a meat grinder...where as....will anyone beat Colorado 2 times, let alone 3 or 4 before the cup final? Baring some major injuries I just don't see it.

Canadian media may not wear pants if they get another "battle for alberta" in round 2.

Blues just bring layers of forwards at you and have a tough blue line to play against. I bet Sakic traded for that hard to play against dman specifically for this series.

Agreed. It’s awesome anytime the Preds get knocked out of the playoffs, especially when they get swept.

I was surprised nothing happened to Trouba with an elbow to Crosbys face.

I have a feeling the league will be changing the rules regarding contact to the head area.

I know some of us still care. Peter Regin scored in Denmark's IIHF game today.

Matthews is maturing, the last few playoffs he was almost invisible. This year he’s playing allot better. For the Leafs to win he needs to grab hold of the game and be the dominant player. Everyone knows I hate the leafs but I think (fear) if the leafs win tomorrow they’ll win the cup.

As for Canadians believing Bettman hates Canadian teams, every single team has fans believing Bettman hates their team. Of course the notion he is for or against any team is absurd, but fans will be fans.

Matthews has played fine this series and he is in quite tough going up against Braydon Point every night. He will probably win the Hart and deservedly so for his 60 goal season. But then I watch and compare as McDavid puts the team on his back in LA in a no tomorrow Game 6 ......... When are you going to do that #34?

The Leafs have a real shot to win tonight because they are as good as Tampa but probably won't. Unless Matthews turns out to be the guy, the Leafs don't have a player like Crosby or Toews or Ryan O'Reiily that pushes them over the finish line. And they also don't have that skilled, pr$ck type player with a sh$tty nasty attitude like a Marchand or Evander Kane. Trade out the inconsistent Swedish meatball Nylander for one of those types and they would be much farther ahead.

I agree with the skilled wiener part, i remember watching game 1 of the Boston series when the Bruins bullied Kucherov. I don't know if the coaches the team, friends, family gave him advice, or he just said (frank) it, but he became a wiener in game 2, he slashed, tripped, cross checked from then on, and they went on to win 2 years in a row. Willing to get his hands dirty and go to the dirty areas.

I watch Nylander and think this is what Kucherov looked like, playoff hockey don't care who you are you have to go and battle for every possession and get your hands dirty

Agree but one thing to take into account and it was mentioned on the broadcast a bigger taller defender against a smaller player. It looked imo intentional. There have been quite a few questionable head shots so far that went without a penalty.

I read this somewhere and would want your opinion LA if new jersey offered the 2nd overall pick in this year's draft for debricant would you make that trade?
Personally I would want more do to the uncertainty in this year's draft. Jersey's 2nd overall blackwood and nolan foot for debricant kubalik rights and 3rd. The select loogan cooley. Have to Davidson would consider it but I think he would want more for debricant than just the 2nd overall pick. When debricant was drafted scouts said if wasn't for his size as a player would've gone in the top 5.

If you decide DeBrincat can be available, then his accomplishments and development into the player he has become.(so far) represents a status that only a limited number of players can match.

So if DeBrincat is traded, and that major return YOU target is a center.......well I do not think Cooley has the ceiling which DeBrincat has and which DeBrincat may still improve upon. Therefore, you are getting probably a future #2 center. You would.be foolish to trade for Cooley.

Maybe you would do this sort of trade, however, if it was the 2023 choice. That trade could not be open to consideration, though, until after lottery has made known the order of selection ' for 23 Entry Draft

Jhawk I agree with you I m trading dcat unless a big haul comes back that helps now and the future. To he is the next captain or should be. In the end its Davidson decision.

LA Hawk and Darth Kane

I am interested to see if both of you choose the correct winning team tonight Toronto or Tampa

I think C Caufield could score 40 plus goals, maybe 50 next season. But maybe first Canadiens need Wright to gain experience, be good then Caufield delivers

He looked like he wanted to check the guy for sure, but intentionally, i guess we disagree i don't see any intent, when i watch the Trouba hit that had more intent because he was going to miss Crosby then he threw his elbow out and his entire thrown out elbow hit him square in the face.

I'm beginning to believe Trouba has some compromising pictures of the safety personal people, he's been getting away with it all season.

Nice to see Raanta as the goaltender helping Carolina past the Bruins. Teravainen, another former Blackhawk, contributing to the scoring in the deciding playoff matinee

NO to Debrincat trade unless it includes Svechnikov, plus high end center prospect, and a damn. Carolina is loaded with prospects and Debrincat would be the missing sniper they need.
Hed probably score 50 + playing with Aho. Svechnikov is 22, Debrincat 24.

I am NOT in favor of trading Debrincat unless an even younger stud or 3 we're coming back like this.
