Well except for the fact he still has 2 years and 2.5 million per left on his deal lol

Ship him to Arizona with a 4th for no return

Well yeah, but you have to imagine they get rid of him somehow in the offseason.

i would rather just save a million bucks and let him just sit in the minors then attach any more 2nd round picks just to move him

definitely a strange decision, I think if it started getting to multiple overtimes again Nemeth would have gotten in though
- jimbro83

Maybe but to have a guy that has looked equally as bad at times playing his off-side just makes no sense.

Kind of lost in the chatter after the game.

What an indictment of Nemeth that Gallant played Braun on his off-side over the natural lefty. He may have played his last game as a Ranger.

Why was he even dressed for crying out loud. Dress Jones give him a taste. GG is quite irritating. I know it’s a little thing but why him? He’s huge all he does he take up room on the bench haha

I don't know. That 1.5mil could be really important.

Another good point. At least put someone who COULD be an asset on the bench if you're literally NOT going to play Nemeth at all.

What's even worse is that Nils isn't even playing. There is literally no reason to have him on the team. Send them out as a package deal for a prospect in another system.

Have no idea if Jones would even be an asset. Never played a playoff game, he isn't being dressed in an elimination game. I'm with Gallant on that.

Credit where it's due. I was hoping we could continue to have a sane hockey discussion instead of nonsense.

I wish it was more intentional. Like blood. That’s unfortunate there was no blood coming from his itty bitty head

TJ, settle down. You sound like a petulant 8 year old. Maybe time for a nap.

I totally get that but he didn't even play. Even though we couldn't predict that Lindgren would play most of the game, to have a player on the bench doing nothing is poor roster management. If Lindgren could only play limited minutes or had to leave the game for good that game is likely a lost cause anyway. May as well ride with that inevitability instead of having a pylon ready to fill in.

So we’re never gonna let him play a playoff game?

It was a perfect opportunity, which is the point

I get what you are saying, but it apparently worked out.... soooo

I still think as long as there are vet d-men on the team you will not see Jones or Nils in any playoff game unless there are multiple injuries.

Huh? Common sense says you don't dress a rookie defenseman who never played in a playoff game in an elimination game when you have guys who already have been there.

That is what is maddening about Gallant. Nemeth is worse being in the game than sitting on the bench. He adds nothing. May as well go with 12-6 and let the D get tired than have Nemeth out there.

But I believe some actually say Nemeth is a big part of Colorado's exit from one of the recent playoff years.

If Nemeth played minutes I’d agree. The whole point is what was he there for? Water boy? He obviously was never intending on using him. Lindgren even left the game and they went to 5 D.

Idk maybe let him watch a game from the bench? That’s all Nemeth did. You can’t baby these guys.

The thing is he was there as a security blanket if Lindgren went down. I think this is just being made into a thing for no reason.
