What are they looking for tho? Agreement?

I get it but we have to stop engaging them. It's like feeding Gremlins after midnight.

Cooke is the reason the current version of the head-shot Rule exists. He based his whole short career on blindside head-shots.

while true it has no impact on anything that happened yesterday.. unless one of these guys is actually Matt Cooke with a HB account

I love how it turned from people not realizing Crosby was out of the game until late second period

to, "lets see if we can find out what happened"

to "here's a hit by Jacob Trouba, this may have been the moment where Sid got injured"

to "Jacob Trouba must be thrown in jail"

- jimbro83

Yup. The funny thing is you could argue the hit on Guentzel in the 1st was the dirty play. Can't really defend that one. I get fans are upset their best player got injured, but in a world of bad takes I have seen some doozies this morning.

Trouba pretty clearly deserves a suspension.

I'm willing to bet the NHL's new TV partner (ESPN) would rather have 87 playing than Trouba and they should.

it makes sense though. if we're being honest with ourselves we'd (us posters, definitely not Jan because he is way more reasonable than that Pens blogger) be big mad if the same exact play happened but to Panarin. I just wouldn't be one of the fools going on to their blog and talking poop

I DM him on this yesterday. And a few of those who come into the blog a lot. I have my view. You all know I take off the Rangers blinders when I blog and call it as I see it. If this was Panarin and a Penguins player did the same, we would be in arms. It’s what I try and keep in mind on this. Rooting interest drives perspective.

Philly papers to the rescue! Ha! Now you guys like the Flyers reporters? That just made my day.
- iamscore2day

He was not anymore. Matt Larkin is a national reporter who said the same. Rooting interest drives perspective, we are all quite well aware this is the case

This is the situation perfectly. I usually never go to other blogs except to banter with some posters we know.

From watching the replay multiple times, Trouba’s arm was extended and elbow was up. Whether that was intentional or as part of the follow through after the play is impossible to tell. Pens' fans will say the latter, Rangers fans will say the former. Crosby was somewhat off-balance and his body twisted, partly impacted by Trouba’s stick hitting his skate, but Trouba did look like he lifted his elbow and primary contact was to the head.

I think this is a good take on it. High hit but more incidental than intentional.

Solid blog, Jan. You're one of the better writers on here.

Some would. I try to look at things from a non fan perspective. Why I laughed at the Jeff Carter/Shesty thing. Carter wasn't targeting Shesty, but he wasn't getting out of the way either. Shesty stuck his leg out a tiny bit then acted like he got shot.

Completely off topic but why did MSG think it was a good idea to keep showing that commercial where Hank is professing his love for Ovechkin? Seems like it's in pretty poor taste given the current climate and who his besty is

It's not in reference to what happened yesterday, but what the guy posted about Cooke being ancient history.

Eh, yeah I get it but Ovechkin can't be sent to purgatory for something that is out of his control. Is he still supporting his country openly?

Just pick any other player.... Maybe another superstar who is actually playing against us right now who happened to be the victim of attempted murder?

I don't think Hank and Sid share mutual respect for each other in the same way.

Lafrenière, Kakko and Chytil have been so much better in the playoffs than Jack Hughes, Tim Stuetzle, Lucas Raymond, Anton Lundell, Trevor Zegras, Matt Boldy, Quinton Byfield, Cole Caufield lmaoooo
