Always nervous about players playing in off season tournaments. Don't want an injury.

Luckily, Risto is taking the World Champs off so the team's best dman should be fine for training camp.

I am torn on who to hate more in the rags/pens series. I can't cheer for any of them and it pisses me off that one of them will advance to the second round
Damn it

I hate the Rangers. Always have. Always will.
The Penguins are irrelevant to me - I can't even get myself to care enough to hate them.

I don't care which moves on.

There was a time I would have said that, but not since Cindy and Frankenstein arrived on the scene.

Flyers have been so irrelevant, I can’t stand either but it doesn’t even matter.

Gotta hand it to CF & Co. No coach since December 2021 and still not even rumblings of people being interviewed in mid May, 2022. Maybe he was actually serious a couple weeks ago about finally sitting down to come up with a list.

Or maybe no one is answering his phone calls.

Will say the longer it goes the more pleased I am. Montgomery is still coaching. Boudreau hasn’t finalized a deal himself.

Out of all the very likely re treads the Flyers will choose from Id very much prefer one of those men. If they rushed out to sign Tocchet, Torts, or Maurice I’d have been disappointed.

Very much remain steadfast against Trotz. He’s a good coach, but it’s the last thing this team needs. Trotz is the pinnacle of doubling down on the current path of settling for a naive view of trying to compete with a bunch of mediocre talent. On this overt fascination with defense when the league has been moving away from the concept.

He’s good enough to maybe even squeeze enough from this rock to get them into a first round loss. The men in charge of this team would count that as an an accomplishment.

Trotz cannot happen. Hopefully he chooses to go elsewhere.

I am not sure I am following but you don't want Trotz because he is a good coach and gets the most out of his players?

Also last I knew, keeping pucks out of your net also helps win games.

I guess I can't see how hiring Trotz would be bad?

The best times with this franchise was when they were leading the way with innovation and setting the trends. Fred Shero bringing in European system concepts. Adding assistant coaches. GM identifying players that fit that. Since 2005 and the cap being instituted. This franchise has been behind the times and playing catch up.

The warning signs were there all season with the Rangers. In our discussions, I told you they weren't a contender and they shouldn't be making moves for now. Their GM made some bad moves but they have enough if they're patient that it shouldn't hurt them long term.

They always seem to be trying to win the cup from 10 years ago.

Pens are the better team. Without Crosby they will not win another game though.

agree to both. i didnt have cup aspirations but winning this series would have been cool. sucks to likely have the music stop in this sort of fashion.
